…This my sound a little self-important but… honestly probably the one I wrote? Like Honoka picking kendo back up after μ’s disbands is one of my favourite and most consistent headcanons whenever I write Honoka, and like, Chika and Mari would 100% get Kanan into samurai movies or samurai anime so she’d want to pick up kendo when she’s young. Like remove Umi from the equation of my AU and I would still really like it (it would also probably be a lot easier for me to write, in all honesty). It may not make the most sense, but honestly it makes the most sense to me while still being an AU.

If I had to pick something not already written, then… hmm… maybe a post Aqours college fic where Kanan attends some university and Honoka is like, a teacher’s aide in one of her classes or an undergrad on campus and they recognise each other, and throughout the course of Kanan’s college years she just gets closer and closer to Honoka and helps her through her depression (also a pretty consistent Honoka headcanon whenever I write her) and eventually they start dating.

Mmm... I really like HonoKanan but I think HonoRiko would probably be a better ship. It would probably carry a lot of the same dynamic as ChikaRiko but because Honoka’s just better at being what Chika wants to be, she’d probably be a lot more effective at bringing Riko out of her shell, both because of her higher natural charisma and Riko probably respecting Honoka for a lot of reasons.
