I’ve just come back from a vacation to Texas. I was there to visit family but i couldn't help but make some observations that deeply upset me. Down there, it seems like the entire populous is angry and hateful toward tansgenders and homosexuals (and the rest of the sexualities of course). I even heard a man preaching in the streets about how they were “Disgusting abominations that came from hell and were going to fall right back to hell.”
Never before had i been so enraged. The sheer hypocrisy of the catholic faith hurts me on a level that i cannot explain. I know that there are many Catholics and Christians out there that accept these groups but the fact that there is such a passionate hate for these people wounds me.
If your god supposedly loves all of his children, why do you say that he will cast these people into hell? How do these people not see that they are in turn insulting their own god by calling his creations abominations? The Catholics speak of spreading love and peace and yet they hate so deeply for people who have never hurt them.
If you read this, please explain it to me. Why do they do this? I don’t understand.
