You can say Vivziepop didn't have any creative input on the pilot, and that may be true on paper. Given that her studio funded and produced it, though, it's pretty reasonable to assume she had at least some influence on how it was written, and now that I've read Act 1 I can personally confirm they do NOT swear that much in the comic
Do not let the butthurt Vivziepop fans gaslight you into thinking Homestuck was always this heavy on swears. It isn't. If you read Act 1, you'll see there's actual writing without a "fuck" shoved in every other sentence. Vivziepop may not have written the pilot herself, but her writers (you know, the in-house writers her studio employs, the same writers who worked on Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss) sure did
Homestuck Act 1: "come on john you importunous baby get with the fucking program. you need at least a rudimentary grasp on data structure manipulation if you want to amount to anything more than a COMMON RUBE"
Homestuck Pilot: "come the fuck on john you fucking baby you need to brush up on this shit if you want to amount to any damn thing more than a fucking shitload of fuck"

Watching the Homestuck pilot as my first actual firsthand exposure to the comic is an interesting experience
I've heard so much about it as a legendary lost relic of a past age of the internet, and now it's real and in front of me
I'm going to have no idea whether the TV show is doing the original comic justice, because I've never read it (and, to my knowledge, I can't anymore? Not that I would have time anyway)
