Beautiful weather and 96,000 visitors at the world’s largest specialist wood trade fair in Hannover Gernany, LIGNA 2015, this year set a new record of attendance. Attendees to LIGNA included hundreds of American customers who came back to see the latest technology from manufacturers from around the globe.

Cefla Finishing Group understands our customers are focused on quality while improving performance and cost-effectiveness. Their robotic machines featured this year at LIGNA displayed their ability to stay ahead of the curve.

IMA Network (including Schelling) showed an energy efficient laser edgebander said to be competitive with hot air technology convertible edgebander (laser to conventional) and fully-integrated industry 4.0 Batch 1 cells. The new edgebanding machines of the Provimat series and a world debut: the IMALUX direct laser system for throughfeed machines offers a unique price-performance ration and is designed to serve the low to medium end furniture brands.

Alongside price-performance is cost reduction, utilizing ones scraps is growing imperative in this industry. WEIMA makes it possible to put “waste” to good use, through their shedder and briquetting systems. In addition to old favorites such as the WL 4’s predecessor R 300, in its original version from 1985, and the indestructible TH 50 briquette press dated 1992, WEIMA also showcased the future of shredding and briquetting technology. WEIMA presented the new TH 828 briquette press to the public for the very first time and received notable response.

Holz-Her presented a plethora of new equipment, including HSK quick change glue system technology, a must see! With the LUMINA and ACCURA series Holz-Her presented in Hannover the new generation of edgebanders displayed to the public for the first time. These two series offer a new machine design as well as a new, high resolution, 18.5″ LED touchscreen with completely new GUI programming. The new multi-functional machine concept and perfect, invisible joint technology with laser edging or waterproof polyurethane glue, establish new standards for edgebanding. Holz-Her edgbanders allow their line to be the top equipment for maximum productivity and superior finish among reviewers.

More decision-makers than ever traveled to Hannover, Germany, in search of pioneering investments. Weinig took advantage of the incredible occasion to make LIGNA appearance a huge success. Weinig continues to grow their Powermat line with the new 700 series, a beauty that is already fast to sell. See the Powermat as well a variety of other machines this fall at our open house September 30 – October 1. This years 2015 Tech Expo at Holz-Her in North Carolina was a great success! Advanced technology can sometimes seem daunting, but the team at Holz-Her help navigate the best choices to improve production times, labor costs and profitability. Starting the (r)Evolution with vertical machining center, Holz-Her technology is top of the line. The image above shows Holz-Her’s dedicated dealers seeing the extensive capabilities of the Evolution 7405, as they say in Germany it is simply einzigartig, präzise und kompakt (unique, precise and compact). This along with several other machines we are very excited to see what great things will be produced this year utilizing Holz-Her machinery.
