Pre- Timeskip:

Both boys are awkward at first

SO MUCH RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER

Dimitri buys Ashe SO many books

Ashe prepares FEASTS for this hungry man!

“Your highness must really like my cooking huh?”

“Call me Dimitri, Ashe.”

Ashe only calls Dimitri by his name when he’s telling him he loves him

Grueling training sessions 

“Your highness, might you help me with my lance training?” 

“Alright, but be prepared- I won’t be going easy on you.”

By the end of it Ashe is bloodied and bruised- but happy.

“A-Ashe! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to get carried a-”

“It’s alright your highness! In fact I’m glad you tried your hardest! We both know my enemies won’t be going easy on me!”

Dimitri carries him to the infirmary- no matter how small the injury!

PDA is a BIG no

The prince is a blushy boy and cannot function when Ashe’s hands are on him!

Dimitri adores children and will treat Ashe’s siblings as his own.

Ofc this scores him BIG points in his bf’s book

Post-Timeskip:

Ashe cries when he sees feral Dimitri

“D-Dimitri?!”

His highness can’t bear to look Ashe in the eyes

The bby defends his king from Felix’s snide comments

Between battles Ashe will simply keep Dimitri company

They don’t exchange words- instead they enjoy each others presence

Dimitri pretty much ignores Ashe at first but can’t bring himself to verbally push Ashe away

It’s a slow process but Ashe begins to get Dimitri out of his funk

He does this through light conversation and plenty of food

It’s a tricky process- he has to make sure to give Dimitri space but still remain around enough to let the man know he’s there and that he cares

(Byleth is the last push needed to pull Dimitri out of his mad slayer state)

But Ashe is the one who TRULY begins to heal Dimitri.

“Ashe, my beloved Ashe- I’m so sorry for causing you so much pain.”

“Quiet! And come here! I refuse to listen to your nonsense Dimitri!”

“Y-you called me Dimitri...”

“Of course I did! Isn’t it your name?”

*cue sobs*

Ashe comforts Dimitri after Rodrigues death

“It’s alright Dimi, everything will be alright. I know it doesn’t seem like it will be but someday it will. And that’s all that matters. Just keep looking toward that day.”

After the War:

Ashe becomes the Prince of Faerghus (he couldn’t have been king- he refused.)

The couple raise many children but Dimitri has one blood child (who also becomes prince and heir to Faerghus’s throne)

Mercedes is the child’s birth mother- but takes the role of aunt

Ashe’s siblings take over House Gaspard

All the kids are loved equally- both men make sure of that

Ashe helps both classes- nobles and commoners- interact with each other

Ending: Dimitri, Savior King & Ashe, Arrow of Justice
