               “   ANYONE  THEEEEERE   ?   ”     VOICE  IS  SINGSONG ,  BUT  NOT  QUITE  AS  loud   //   harsh  as  usual.  something  about  the  profile  of  this  PARTICULAR  ghost  making  her  a  little  more  curious  ——  the  whole  puzzle  surrounding  this  place  perhaps  more  interesting  than  simply  another  BUST.     “   you  can  come  out   !   ”     called  to  seemingly  no - one  around  her.     “   i’m ,  uh ,  not  gonna  bust  ya   !     (   not  . . .   necessarily.   )     don’t  worry.   ”

               HEAD  POKES  OUT  FROM  THE  MAINTENANCE  CONDUIT  SHE’S  LYING  IN  at  the  sound  of  someone  else  walking  past.  she’s  been  trying  to  figure  out  this  security  system  with  little  luck     (   ghostbusters  new  on  the  station  she  not  granted  SECURITY  CLEARANCE  yet   //   which  normally  wouldn’t  be  a  problem  but  she’s  not  seen  anything  like  this  station  before   ).     does  her  best  to  read  rank  insignia  upside  down.     “   lieutenant   !   ”     hand  sticks  out     (   still  not  flipping  the  right  way  ‘round ,  unwilling  to  move  from  where  she’s  lying  on  her  back   ).     “   dr.  jillian  holtzmann  ——  i’m  with  the  GHOSTBUSTERS ,  doing  a  lil’  proofing  on  your  system  but  there’s  some  pretty  CONFUSING  stuff  in  here.  you  wanna  help  me  out   ?   ”

               “   i’m  here  about  the  ghost.   ”

               SHE  VISIBLY  JOLTS  WHEN  A  HEAD  FINALLY  RAISES ,  the  sound  of  another  person  entering  the  room  assumed  to  be  abby     //     maybe  erin  up  this  early.  to  see  MINERVA  there  instead  is  a  shock ,  to  say  the  least.        “    oh ,  uh ,   hey    !    ”        is  the  moment  of  panic  obvious  in  her  voice    ?        let’s  pretend  it’s  not.  she  scrambles  down  from  where  she’s  crouched  atop  her  desk ,  about  FIFTEEN  THINGS  clattering  to  the  floor  that  she  endeavours  to  ignore.        “    didn’t  expect  you  this  early   .  .  .    ”        voice  trails  off  as  her  eyes  flicker  to  a  clock.   nearly  1pm.   where’d  the  morning  go    ??        “    .  .  .     or  late ,  i  guess.    ”        there’s  a  moment  where  she  stands  there  silently     /     bare  feet     /     wild  hair     /     PYJAMAS  underneath  a  robe  that  she  finally  does  up  now.        “    .  .  .     sorry.    ”

               SHE  LOOKS  OVER  HIS  EQUIPMENT ,  TRYING  TO  GO  FOR  A  mysterious - silent - judgement  sort  of  vibe.  which  lasts  approximately  eight  seconds  before  she  breaks.        “    eh ,   i  like  your  style ,   kid.  got  some  pretty  cool  toys  there.    ”

               “   OH   !     YOU  SHOULD  TAKE  UP ,  UH  …   ”     holtzmann  scrambles  for  a  few  moments  to  the  plastic  cup  discarded  somewhere  beside  her ,  straw  rattling  as  she  lifts  it.  a  GRIN  across  her  face.     “   frappuccinos   !     i  don’t  really  like  coffee  so  i  live  off  these  babies  when  i’m  tryna  stay  awake.   ”     lid  is  lifted  off  the  cup  and  she  peers  in  with  morbid  curiosity   //   and  GRIMACES  at  the  days - old  remainder  of  what’s  inside.     “   maybe  not  this  one ,  though.   ”
