Hi, everyone! As we announced in the chat, now that we’ve finished our first activity check, the submit is now open for applications! Please remember that we are a closed group at the moment, so only current members will be able to apply for our next acceptance. Just as a reminder, our character limit is currently three characters, and you must wait at least a week in between each new character. We’ll eventually increase our character cap, but since everyone is still getting acquainted with the new muses, we want to make sure that the group doesn’t become too overwhelming. Our tentative acceptance date is Saturday, September 29th (time TBD), but this is subject to change if we do not receive any applications. Any new characters will be here just in time for our next event, and we’re so excited to see your applications!
If you’re not a member of the group and are interested in joining, you should definitely check back within the next couple of days after we’ve had a chance to talk to the group about whether or not we will be expanding. Members, we’re about to post an anonymous survey in the chat that we really encourage you all to fill out ASAP -- it involves your experience plotting and roleplaying with the rest of the group so far and also asks for your thoughts regarding our member cap and our plot. We really want everyone to feel heard, and if you’re struggling in the group, filling it out is a great way to anonymously inform us of any issues if you don’t feel comfortable approaching us directly. It’s very important to us that everyone is enjoying their time here, so please don’t be afraid to be honest -- we’ll be sure to read and address all of your answers with care.

The Burrow—-fitted with all the extensions that Arthur and their children were able to persuade Molly The Elder to add over the years, bless them—-is the place to be, with festivities extending to the grass field outside and the pop up pavilion housing tables full of drinks and snacks.
The party-planners (Molly The Younger (though Grandma Molly certainly butted in—ahem, provided—input at times), Victoire, Tariq & all the assorted family members and friends they dragged in to help pull everything together) have finished, and everything looks ready for fun, from the fairy lights strung through the trees to the chocolate fountain in the corner, topped with miniature figurines of Pippa, Louis and Lily, posed in their most dramatic fashion. There’s a projection reel on the side of the shed, going through countless photos of the three, submitted by friends and family, and the live band ( LIQUID MERCURY, Louis’ favourite band, the Wixen World’s first all-Squib band, who’ve worked professionally with Audrey Weasley’s advocacy groups ) setting up and starting playing. Thanks to George Weasley and some input from Molly, Freya & Noah, there’s a temporary lake of sorts, with bioluminescent charms for lighting (to celebrate the end of summer even at night), found behind the Burrow and hidden from view, and a canvas set up for guests to paint on.
It’s the end of summer celebrations before they go back to Hogwarts, and you are invited.

First of all, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who applied or expressed interest to Holocene. We’ve had some really hard decisions to make over the last nine hours (!!! nine, that’s how much we loved these apps) and we really encourage anyone who didn’t get accepted this time to message us if you would like any feedback! We honestly liked something about every app, and we’re so grateful you thought we were worth your time and creative energy because it was our genuine pleasure to read all of your apps.
We’re so sorry about the wait —- we totally didn’t realise it would take this long, but some of these apps were super detailed and we wanted to be as thorough as possible with our decisions. We want to take this opportunity as well to remind you of our recent decision regarding tomorrow’s acceptance for reserves: as it may be our last open acceptances and applications before the group closes, given how many wonderful members we’ve accepted today, we’ve decided that anyone can apply at tomorrow’s applications, whether or not there was a reserve. We’re closing the submit two hours later than initially advertised as well, to try give a little more time, so the submit will be closing for the final time at 5PM PST / 8PM EST / 1AM GMT on Sunday, 16th September. This means that if you didn’t get accepted today, you can apply again tomorrow —- and we really want to reiterate that we encourage you asking us about your apps, because there are some things we loved about all of them, and we have feedback as well which may help. We’re so excited to say that we’ve finally decided when we will tentatively be holding our first acceptance -- the submit will be closing on Saturday, September 15, at 3 PM PST / 6 PM EST / 11 PM GMT! Acceptances should be posted later that day. If you think you might need more time for your application, please don’t worry -- we’ll be allowing reservations for this round! We’ll start taking character, surname, and face claim reserves on the 14th, once we’re a day away from closing the submit. If you place a reserve, you will have twenty-four extra hours to submit your application -- we’ll reviewing all reservations on Sunday, September 16 at 3 PM PST / 6 PM EST / 11 PM GMT! We really hope these acceptance times work for everyone, but if you’re worried you might not be able to submit your application in time, please don’t be afraid to message us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. We’re open to postponing our acceptance dates, should enough people ask. That being said, we’re absolutely stoked for our reopening, and we can’t wait until we can finally review all of your lovely applications!
We’d also like to announce a minor change to our application, particularly the summer programs and student functions section. Judging by the applications we’ve already received,, we’ve noticed that there will most likely be some conflicts, particularly when it comes to student functions. And in the event that multiple people ask for the same position, we just want to make sure we make the fairest choice on who receives what. Thus, we’ve added something to that section -- if you’ve asked for your character to be involved in summer programs or student functions, we’d like an explanation on why your character wants these positions/why they’d be a good fit for them. Your explanation does not need to be long and can be as brief as you’d like; it’s just in case we receive multiple applications asking for the same position. If you’ve already submitted an application that asked to be involved in summer programs or student functions, you’ll be receiving a message asking you to send in that explanation. Please be sure to do so before our acceptance date on the 15th. We hope that this change isn’t too much trouble for you all!
