I have one! Morigan vs Alim.
Oh boy.
Okay, at the beginning of the Blight, this would be a no-brainer. Alim is a powerful mage with tighter control over his primal spells than most (Morrigan included), but he’s also fresh out of the Circle with zero combat experience and not a clue as to how to fight with his staff. Morrigan’s is also a powerful mage wielding some magic Alim has never seen before and more than half a clue about how to take down an enemy.
She’d take Alim down in a heartbeat.
Post-Blight, naaaaw. Alim’s seen what Morrigan can do and can go toe-to-toe with her. It would a long battle, and Alim’s warrior skills might not add much but in the end, thanks to the perks of being and Arcane Warrior and a Spirit Healer, he’s simply going to be able to outlast her.

I’d go with character development and you growing and changing as a writer. Lord know Gwyn is nothing like what he used to be in a lot of respects.
