First: two wins. Spiced, candied pecans. Including one giant block I broke up but really wanted to eat like a candy bar. Then, clean-out-the-fridge breakfast tacos with eggs, tapatio, poblanos, red onion, cilantro—ya know, the goods. (Are they still breakfast tacos if you eat them at 1pm? 🤔🧐🥸) And then... well, then we have a complete and utter shitshow. A meltdown. A fantastic failure. I don’t show these enough, and I rarely have one go THIS awry, but somewhere in my “pumpkin bread pudding” journey, I kept adding and adding and adding things. It is...sugar sludge. It is barely edible. It is the result of being hormonal and hongry and wanting to make something “creative.” And thinking “ohhhh! a crisp bottom with crunch would be good!” Yeah, bc when you have bread pudding you shouldn’t have crunch. What world was I on? What happened to my brain?Stating the obvious: I’M STILL LEARNING TO SELF EDIT IN THE KITCHEN. There were chocolate chips and butters and seeds and caramel. LOL OH WELL. Next time I’ll stick with simple and walk away! You can always add but you can’t always take away. Jarring process complete! I've made both the holiday nuts and some fiddle faddle(caramel/salted popcorn, pretzels and chocolate chips) I've also did a combo of both the nuts and the fiddle faddle.
