Happy Halfway Point!
You guys are keeping me so busy!
A reminder once again: tagging the blog is the best way to ensure I see, reblog, and tally your work. I've had a few slip through the cracks, I'm sure, but with the uptick in participants this year, I don't have a lot of extra time to scroll through all the variants of the June of Doom hashtags.
The AO3 Collection currently sits at 371 works in 170 fandoms (surpassing 2024's 335 works)!
So far, the most popular alternate prompts are Obsession and Bedridden with 9 works each.
It's hard to say overall which prompt is "most popular" because a lot of people do the first few days and don't finish. That's why I have the exit poll to ask you guys what you liked. The stats are good but skewed because of that. Naturally, Day 1 has the most entries so far. Other than that, you guys really liked the Protective prompt on Day 8! And "I won't leave you" on Day 4!
I've also closed the Holi-DOOM Bingo form. It looks like most of you want a 4x4 card. I'll be printing out the responses today and, at some point this week, going through them to see what prompts were most requested!
I MAY do a test run for Holi-DOOM where you guys submit your own works to the blog instead of tagging me and relying on me to find time to reblog it. I'm admittedly stretched thin, being a one-man show, but I know Sicktember has people submit their own works to their blog and might give it a try. If it goes well, maybe it gets implemented next summer. We'll see! I'll still be here regardless!
Thank you guys so much for making this event so successful and the community around it so inclusive and supportive. I bet most people don't expect that from a whump challenge, and if that's what makes this one unique, we've won!
Have an excellent second half of the month, BE NICE TO YOURSELF, and have fun torturing your cinnamon rolls. I believe in you!!!
