It took almost a year for Full Spectrum Laser to complete repairs on my old hobby laser and get it back to me. Within a week, after putting my crappy cheap eBay (generally called a “Chinese”laser) laser away I made a novice mistake and started the good one on fire. Made the repairs this weekend and it it working great. Damage was minor, just replacing some melted bits with the help of my husband. This test was actually a little out of focus.
