I'm super torn between the Mary epilogue and Mary special being a particular favor for Martin (because he knows Sherlock is the last big thing she'll do) or a favor for Amanda because she KNOWS something and she has a history of being a loose cannon with minimal filter. I thought 100% it was the former until I saw TFP and saw Martin talking about it--he seems so disappointed while trying to do his job of promoing it, letting in wistful looks or little bits of snark.
