Hi train of thought set off by #horseposting and the earlier ask about stables in Gorkhon and realising I Bet you have a headcanon about it. In your mind universe (but regular patho verse not the equestrian au) can Dankovsky ride a horse or is he afraid of them like Khan in that one comic

Yes he can. he loves em. he's quite good at it.
MY REASONING in my mindverse: daddy was a military man -> probably either interacted with horses from afar or In My Mind was cavalry -> tried to make a Military Man out of dankovsky [canon line] [to me: for multiple reasons] -> probably taught dankovsky how to ride a horse as to prepare him to be the best cavalry officer there could be -> transmitted him his liking of horses, and also now he knows how to ride.
i pershonally don't think the dankovskies are quite rich so idk if they'd have Their Own horses but if they can... yes :). russian dons, likely, as they were a very popular cavalry breed... or something more niche like Megruli, Tuchin or Kabarda [georgian/caucasian horses as i think dankovsky's father's side of the famly is georgian]... :)
