Dear mom,
Where do I begin? There’s so much you don’t know, so much you should know. Every time you call me you always seem so excited and yet, every day you seem more tired, older. I worry I’m not watching you growing old. I’m sad I’m not by your side. I’ll never say these words to you, probably never send this letter.
Mom, I feel so lonely. I try to do as you said, ‘be a lady, act like one’ and I do but I think I’m losing myself, more and more every single day. I thought I’d find myself but I honestly only lost myself. Remember I told you I loved History, I do. But I’m scared too stuck in the past and constantly worried about the future that my past is faster and faster slipping away from me.
Oh mom, why do I cry when I write to you? I’m so sorry I’ve become someone so shameful. Someone who’d do anything for money but if you knew how hungry I was. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you but how could I? I knew you’d end up killing yourself for me, I couldn’t. I couldn’t do that to you. Not to dad.How’s dad? I think he’s getting older too. I miss you too so much. Our time in Christmas wasn’t enough.
I wish you could be here, things would be different. I miss your food. And your kiss before going to sleep. Your way of telling me everything is going to be fine when I left for school. I’ve changed so much mom…

Dear past me, stop thinking you can embrace the entire world, you can do everything at once and that you’ll be fine. You will be fine, you know, you always have known. But going at things so boldly without fear might not be the best idea. You get pretty anxious later on when things start to go wrong. You are right when you say that what’s important is the present time, but just be cautious a little of what might happen in the future because of the present time. Don’t put your dreams as priority, remember to check up on your family more. They are your priority. But also, thank you for always going and not stopping. Though that might come from the ‘going at everything boldly’ thing. I’m still grateful that you always push on no matter what. Keep doing that, you’ll get where you want to. Maybe not with all the dreams you have in one. But you will get very far. Not as far as you keep dreaming. But once you get there you’ll notice it’s all you ever needed, harder than you ever thought possible and 100% worth it.Also, stop drinking when you’re down, it’s not smart and not good for you.
