Shout out to everybody that came to the noise show!

It was fun af despite technical difficulties lol

So, I read an article that said that Joss Whedon doesn't support the help Nathan buy Firefly movement, but really the comment came from a sister in law that said no one in the verse was on officially on board and that the fans should save their money. 

One person commented on it, outraged, by the misleading title, that Joss never said such a thing and that everything that has been posted about Firefly in the recent media has been misleading like "Firefly Returning to Cable" and things of that nature. The user also went on to say that we should still try and bring the show back, even though there really is no support for the fund. 

Personally, I may or may not lose followers because of this, but, I feel like the fund or campaign is a losing fight and an effort that will ultimately produce no results. For one they are just taking pledges, not actual money, which is smart. Except when it comes to people there is a HUGE difference between saying you'll donate 100 dollars to ACTUALLY donating a 100 dollars. 

If I had 200% proof that Firefly would return and they needed help from the fans that golly, I'd donate some money. Probably not 100, more like 10. I just personally think the browncoats should save their money and invest in Firefly merchandise or something else related to help the franchise. I just think that'd be a better use of time and money.

Don't get me wrong, the campaign is lovely and probably very heart warming to everyone that was involved with Firefly, but, let's enjoy what we have and not go over board, shall we?

Nathan: “I’d love to buy Firefly.”

HNBF: “Let’s buy Firefly! Unless the cast or creators say no.”

Nathan: “Don’t send anyone money.”

HNBF: “Let’s buy Firefly! He doesn’t mean it.”

Nathan:“No seriously. Don’t do it.”

HNBF: “Let’s buy Firefly! He’ll change his mind when we get the rights.”

Other fans: “It won’t work! It’s been tried! Please don’t do this!”

HNBF: “Let’s buy Firefly! Naysayers are old farts that don’t want us to have fun and are obviously Alliance.”

Other fans: “We’re a lion? Also, this will end in tears! The cast won’t want to speak about Firefly again. Nathan said no!”

HNBF: “Let’s buy Firefly! We don’t need him.”

HNBF: (on WHEDON-esque) “Yeah, that plan won't work. Ha. Oops. We’re going to change it to something else. Don’t worry.”

HNBF: “Let’s buy Firefly! Here’s the "Big Damn Plan"! We want you to send money to 'start a business'!”’

Jane E: “It won’t work. Everyone is busy with other stuff.”

HNBF: “Let’s buy Firefly! And maybe make fan stuff instead! Why won’t Joss talk to us?”

MoT: “No one in the Whedonverse supports this.”

HNBF: “That's a wrap! (Stupid fans, ruining our only chance to get Firefly back. Hope you’re happy now.)”

HNBF followers: "May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one."

Some nasty HNBF followers: “Who the Hell is she? We don’t need Joss. Nathan is fat. Let’s get his show cancelled. Old guard doesn’t want us to have our chance. Let’s bombard Mo with nasty comments and remind her that no one is taking any money so why would she harsh our buzz and tell us to stop being a group?”

Other fans: “Send Mo some love.”

MoT: “Thanks for the support…”

HNBF: “Let’s buy Firefly! MoT said we should try!”

"I love Firefly. I miss Firefly. I am a Browncoat and I do not support 'Help Buy Nathan Firefly'."

Agreed. Wholeheartedly. I love Firefly, and I love the fandom as well. So to see someone turn the enthusiasm of new fans to such a ridiculous endeavour that is going to end horrible really irks me.
