Moving Image Research
For part of the show me the money brief I also have to shoot a 90 second promotion video. Here I am going to be looking at some promotional videos on youtube.
Video 1. Project Bike Cycle Cafe
This video features a mix of tilt shots, panning shots, focus changes. The shots are close-up to medium. The video is 65 seconds long and each clip is around 3-4 seconds. The video features clips of the shop, the bike equipment, some bike and what the store sells.
Video 2. Fixed Gear San Fransisco at Golden Gate [Citybicycleco Track Bike SF Promo]
This video is just under the 90 second mark and features clips around 3 seconds. some less. The soundtrack works really well with the feel of the video. It has a mix of close ups, medium length and full length shot.
Video 3.
This video is shot handheld and in black and white. It is of a bike workshop and each clip is very short. some less than 2 seconds. It features a lot of close-ups of building a bike.
Video 4.
This is a really strong video which features a lot of different shots form tilting and panning to close-ups, medium length, full length. If features a mix of black and white and colour. The clips are around 3 seconds each although there are parts that the clips change really fast. The music all fits in with the theme and subject of the video. It has a very cinematic feel to it.
Video 5.
This is a very well shot video. It features a wide range of shots from cinematic black and white close-ups right up to wide shots of the cyclists on roads from above.
