its really crazy and sad how naruto thought he could automatically gain value from becoming the most valuable symbol of a shinobi system that regards greatness by military value but even though he has the bijuu sealed in him and the leaf didn’t do it for military purposes he’s still ostracized and still cast out and so many people were complicit to it and it’s so sad naruto thought the only way to get love was to be a hokage because there was nothing in himself worthy to be love and bc he was so bad initially as a ninja the “traditional” route of getting value wasn’t obtainable and wow fuck the leaf village sometimes man
