This is "The Lump", The Man Of Coal. I think he's my favorite right now. His looks take after another Rocky looking character but they are vastly different. With a 2.75 on the Mohs Scale, he's not very sturdy–nor is he very strong. Pieces of him tend to break off and he's slow and ponderous. But he's great to have along if the group gets lost and is cold as those bits and pieces burn for a long time. I started the "Drawing Ditko Faces" during #inktober. I'm now back to it trying to find out what makes these faces so recognizable. The more I draw them the more they puzzle me. Certain aspects just defy explanation, others seem just patently wrong. Been very busy with prep work for next con in December. Not gonna wait till the last minute. So less drawing than I would like. More facial studies of Ditko. Generally, much of what I learned in drawing heads doesn't apply. Can't put it into words yet as what makes disproportionate yet seemingly correct.
