Ryudamon’s the obsessive type.  He constantly rambles on about the beauty of not just humanity, but digimon as well.  For this reason, he will protect them both with his partner to the bitter end.

First and foremost, he's a samurai dragon. A FUZZY samurai dragon. He's got the styled helmet, some armor, nice colors, and overall a very good design.

Notice the red triangle again? He's also a prototype. Dorumon and Ryudamon were way hip together.

He's also a natural carrier of the X-Antibody.

He follows the bushido code. That means if he's dishonored, he'll commit bloody seppuku. Hardcore stuff. (Don't tell Zuko.)

Did I mention he's a samurai dragon?

His main attack is shooting swords out of his mouth. Entire swords. Out of his mouth. Right into your face.

He can partially levitate.

SAMURAI. DRAGON.

Can become DexDorugamon. Ryudamon's in on the zombie party.

His name comes from the Promoted Rook piece in Shogi (or Dragon King)

Ginryumon's name comes from the Silver General chess piece. Hisyarumon's name is from the Rook (Hisha, or Flying Chariot). Owryumon again pulls from the Promoted Rook.

In other words, they are chess piece samurai dragons.

Their attacks centralize around bashing opponents with their armor, shooting swords out of their mouth, or cutting them up

Did I mention Hisyarumon can turn into a giant sword?

Yeah.

Hisyarumon's orbs are a large source of power. He can take on an entire swarm of Digimon single-handedly by speed alone.

Just LOOK AT HISYARUMON. He's a fudging Eastern dragon. A samurai Eastern dragon.

And Owryumon becomes the weapon of Alphamon for them to go into Owryuuken mode.

I repeat: He becomes a Royal Knight's weapon.

Owryumon has blades for wings. Blades. For wings.

Watch out: He'll cut you.
