The hippo, one of the world’s largest animals, lives both on land and in water. The hippo looks unassuming, but has immense powers of adaptability that allow it to move between land and water. The hippo does not have sweat glands but its body produces an oozy fluid which wards away UV rays. To avoid the blazing #SouthAfrican sun, hippos live in water during the day, and roam on land during the cool evenings… Quite a ‘wild’ nightlife they must have!!!
