As the year draws to a close, we find ourselves amidst the hustle and bustle of the season, filled with both work commitments and joyous celebrations. In light of this, we have made a few adjustments to our activity checks.

Our next activity check is scheduled for Friday, the 22nd of December, followed by another on the 29th. After that, we will return to our usual routine with activity checks taking place on the first Wednesday/Thursday of 2024. We want to emphasize that we will not be issuing warnings for inconsistency during this holiday season. However, we will continue to monitor bubbling and non-replies to starters as we want to ensure that no one feels left out.

We just wanted to come on here and make a proper admin note regarding some reminders. There has been a few comments made to the main regarding inclusivity and while we don't really see any bubbling or cliques being formed. We do want to address any and all concerns whenever they are made. We'd like to ask everyone to make sure you're taking steps to be more inclusive. Given the size of the group, we do understand how it can be overwhelming at times to get back to everyone. However, it is of utmost importance that we all do our part to make sure everyone feels involved. Do reach out to others! We understand plotting can be a little intimidating for some. We all have our moments of doubt and feelings of shyness. We encourage all our members to do their best to make an effort to branch out. You all can do this by posting plotting calls, starting calls, and replying to some. We especially ask you to reply to new members. If you need help thinking of plots, do search up some lists. Use each other's as well! I know quite a few members have lists available for plotting purposes. If you need help coming up with plots, do ask them if you can take ideas from their lists. We also ask that you all check the 'hillsfmsstarters' tag frequently as well as our starters blog. We have made this a rule for a reason and we'd really like to see those starters getting more replies. And just a friendly reminder, if you see someone asking for plots in your plot/starter call, do message them! We don't want anyone feeling left out!

Hello members! We just wanted to make a quick admin post regarding making sure that everyone is feeling included. We want everyone to feel comfortable and happy here at hillsfms. So when people are making starter/plot calls in the ooc blog, can we please make sure we're responding and reaching out to all. This also goes for the open starters, can we please make sure we're checking the starter blog and the tag regularly. Luckily, this isn't a major issue we're currently dealing with, but we just wanted to post a reminder, making sure we all keep on top of it.

We'd like to bring a few important matters to your attention, which we believe are good to remind everyone of every now and then.

Hiatuses: After returning from a hiatus, you have 24 hours to become active again before being reopened due to inactivity. We believe one day is ample time for you to ease back into the swing of things. If, for any reason, you can't return right away and need more time on hiatus, please shoot us a quick message to let us know. Don't assume we're aware of your situation; we're always more than happy to grant additional time away from the dash. We appreciate your communication, as it helps us maintain group activity and ensures fairness for all members.

Starters: We've noticed that some members have ended up on the warning list because they haven't replied to open starters. This rule is important to us as it encourages those who enjoy posting open starters to engage with others. We kindly request that you respond to at least two starters every seven days — it's a minimal requirement. Please be mindful of this.

Patience: We appreciate that all of our members are understanding and easygoing, which we love. It's important to remind everyone that being part of the admin team is not our paid job. As Admin Lily pointed out the other day, we make decisions as a team, especially when it involves delicate matters. However, keep in mind that we also live in different parts of the world and have lives outside of the group. Therefore, making decisions isn't always as straightforward as we'd like it to be. If you notice that it's been more than 48 hours since you contacted the main without receiving a response, feel free to bug us again, as long as you do so politely. Rest assured, we read all messages, so unless something extraordinary has occurred, we've likely seen your message and will get back to you soon.
