I don't know about yall but to me Kanato doesn't just smell like sweet things. Kanato must smell like formaldehyde, or even old places with a decomposed corpse essence that has just been thrown over a pool of vanilla-sweetened perfume. Like you just got tired of the kitchen and the first smell you smelled would be formaldehyde when Kanato come out of his secret lair of necrophilia. Kanato may hate this smell because of "uwu I want sweet things" but honestly I doubt he showers.
