Harry and Hermione are bestfriends, she’s in love with Harry but he remains oblivious to this particular knowledge as Hermione was frightened of things changing between them if she confesses, but lately Hermione notices how Harry seems to be mesmerized by a certain Daphne Greengrass and soon enough they were dating. The worst part is that Hermione couldn’t seem to find a reason to hate Daphne as she turns out to be more than just a pretty face but also a good person. Torn between confessing her feelings and moving on, she slowly drifts apart from her bestfriend, a fact that wasn’t amiss to Harry.

He goes after Hermione to try and save their friendship but only complicates things when she abruptly confesses her feelings. Harry was stunned by her confession and turns slack jawed as he could not believe that she was just telling him this now that he’s finally moved on.

The next thing he knew there were two witches fighting tooth and nail over him, which amuses Ron and the rest of Hogwarts greatly but Harry reckons having a dark lord who wants to kill him would be a far better alternative than the situation he was in.
