Gods bless this Monstera and it’s will to survive through this awful winter. Poor plant hasn’t been reviving enough light with all our dark overcast days from Seattle’s #snowpocalypse the last few weeks. However, I come to do some weekly waterings and what do I find? Two new leafletts that look to have some nice leaf fenestration. I’m excited to see this guy take off again after what seemed like five months of absent growth.
Maidenhair Fern
I guess I’m doing something right! My maidenhair fern has been putting off lots of new sterns and foliage. People weren’t kidding when they said this fern is a drama llama, but treat her like a queen and she shall flourish.
Calathea Veitchiana
My Monstera Deliciosa has put on two new leaves and a third is on the way.
We all know that feeling of new foliage.

Asparagus setaceus “Asparagus Fern”
I enjoy how feather soft this little guy is. This fern loves to have moist soil and high humidity. Can be grown in medium level light. Soft and delicate, it also has be given the name “Lace Fern”.
My First Sealed Terrarium
So I decided to try my hand at making a tropical terrarium. I have been wanting to make one for awhile now and after a few months of research, tutorials, and plant hunting, I finally got all the materials and was able to assemble the project.
I know it is a bit hard to see due to the curvature of the glass, but you can kind of get a picture of the layout.
Adiantum
“Maidenhair Fern”
A humidity loving fern with delicate lace-like fronds. This fern is especially picky when it comes to its care and is considered a diva. Humidity, indirect bright light, and moisture is a must for this plant.
