When the latest Delta Force mission goes terribly wrong, Tony Stark is tasked by SHIELD and Army Intelligence to help unravel the mystery, bringing him face-to-face again with Steve Rogers, the Army Delta Force Captain who saved his life only six months ago. As Tony and Steve work together to solve the puzzle, two main questions emerge:

Who is arming the Sokovian rebels?

And, more importantly, who and where do they intend to strike next?

Anyway, since it’s Sunday, I thought I’d post a six sentence Sunday 😉 🤓 This is from my superfamily WIP High Value Target that I hope to start posting soon.

Steve blinks as Tony’s words work their way through the fear and anger clouding his mind, finally landing with all of the force of Steve’s very first parachute jump way back in his training days.

“You… you’d do that?” he asks. “I mean, you know how to—?”

“Well, I mean, I’ve never designed a limb before, but I’m sure it can’t be too much harder than some of the guns I’ve made for you guys,” Tony says. His beautiful brown eyes bore into Steve’s as he adds, “Or, I can tell Nat, if I end up seeing her first.”

“No! I mean, yes! Of course you can!” Steve grunts, internally kicking himself for being such an idiot. “I just didn't think that—”

“I mean, I’m contracted by Fury and the Army to supply the Delta Force teams with whatever weaponry they need to carry out their missions,” Tony says. “So I don't see why that wouldn't include a new arm for one of its best team members.”

Steve gulps, forcing himself to nod so he doesn’t look even more stupid. “That’s just really nice of you,” he says thickly. “I know Bucky and Nat will appreciate it.”

“Eh,” Tony says, shrugging like it’s no big deal. “It’s the least I can do for the guys who helped save my life.”

Pretty sure that’s more than six sentences, but hopefully that’ll make up for taking so long to post 😉 💖

This is from an upcoming superfamily fic called High Value Target:

“Steve, he’s gone,” Gabe says a heartbeat later. Steve drops his head, the proclamation hitting him like a sucker punch to the chest.

“Are you sure?” he blurts out, even though he knows damn well that Gabe would never not be sure.

“Yeah, I’m sure,” Gabe says solemnly. Then he pats Riley one more time on the chest and stands to his feet. “We’ll come back for him once we find the others.”

Huffing out a sharp breath, Steve readies his rifle and presses on towards the destroyed building, trying desperately to keep from drowning in his anger.

This wasn’t supposed to happen! he thinks. Not like this!

Okay, so that’s a little more than six sentences, but you get the picture 😜
