     ❝ —Oh, aren’t you a funny one- ❞   And there he goes, SNATCHING a pen that happened to ‘casually’ be floating by— right next to him;  even prior to grabbing it, he could notice the obnoxious loud colors and patterns on it from the corner of his eye, a gift from a certain professor with an uncanny ability to distract others from performing their usual tasks, just like this man; because of course that these series of odd ‘inconveniences’ that have started to take place exactly on his office and only once the other has stepped in weren’t a product of Mael’s need for an urgent visit at the circus to get some sort of show  (an arguably much more entertaining place than an office),  but rather, the peculiar activity of the wind. Of course.

He should have known right?

If it wasn’t perhaps for the fact that the pen  (as ridiculous as it looked)  wasn’t a gift, chances were that by the look on the professor’s face, said pen would have probably long been snapped in half as soon as he took hold of it, a product of the accumulated small quantity of patience that he -not so proudly- possessed. At the end of the day, he knew better than to let this man get away with his mischief and get the worst out of him, as if the other was some sort of large feline who hapenned to be lacking enough stimulation and decided to bother its owner. Espresso was a gentleman, a refined man of science, an individual whom—

Just when he thought that the other couldn’t become any more insufferable- His journal, his beloved diary where he kept equations, notes and everything meticulously planned in advance; that has grown so heavy that oftentimes he’s simply memorized the times of his meetings as a matter to not carry such a heavy thing— in conclusion, his beloved diary; It began floating far above him- at an uncomfortable distance, one that he didn’t even have to measure in order to know that he would certainly not be able to reach.

Oh, this bastard.

And he even had the audacity to speak right afterwards— the audacity to look so nonchalant about it too !! But not for long, no- because if there was one thing that was irreversible, it was the wasted bars of his patience that have long been thrown out of the window. (unless a shot of espresso was offered to quench his pettiness, of course.)

       Sometimes, some individuals truly seemed to enjoy threading through the thin cord that separated life and death. Some of them being more precautious when it came down to it, almost as if they enjoyed perceiving just a small thrill of danger, yet other individuals that fortunately enough were narrowed down to just Esra seemed to seek more than just a small hint; on his case, it sometimes seemed as if instead of poking said methaphorical cord, he blatantly decided to instead play rope jumping with it— . "heave ho!" says the red haired idiot, and before he can even react or prepare his mind to what was about to happen, Ookurikara gets effortlessly swept off his feet from behind !!   ❝ You— !? ❞   How— !? What was this idiot even doing!? It is in his strong hold that Ookurikara finally realizes the unbelievable situation the other has put the two of them in— ; to start off, to a regular person it would be near to impossible to take hold of him so quickly and lift him up as if he weighted nothing but a pair of potatoes, one because it required a decent amount of strenght and second of all; because rarely did Ookurikara get startled, and little were the chances that he would allow someone to get away with it- but in this situation, his movement was somewhat restricted, yet not enough for him to not be able to know what to do, so it is in this way (and despite the joyous laughter of Esra) that Ookurikara moves around enough to be able to sink his elbow right in the middle of Esra’s face an thus, making him ( who has seconds ago been rattling Ookurikara like a maraca ), to fall backwards with Ookurikara still in between his strong hold, yet it is precisely because of the other’s strong hold that the bandages wrapped around his abdomen begin to unfold, revealing a wound that has still not yet healed, yet little did this seem to preoccupy him as the uchigatana turns his back around to now finally face Esra, only to grab him by the collar of his shirt as he uses his free hand to rest against the ground not only as a means of support but also to prevent the other from possibly escaping.

@hierum.    “  i  told  you  not  to  overdo  it.    ”  he  restrains  himself  from  sighing,    fingertip  poking  between  wizard’s  brows,    then  moves  to  gently  lift  howl  into  his  arms  and  secures  him  against  broad  chest.    “  alright,    up  you  go.    ”  a  chuckle.    he  was  amused  more  than  anything.    (  from  mael  ^_^  )

❛  i  overdid  nothing,  ❜      howl  said.    he  was  nothing  if  not  argumentative  to  the  very  last  a̲b̲o̲u̲t̲ ̲ ̲h̲i̲s̲ ̲ ̲p̲r̲e̲d̲i̲c̲a̲m̲e̲n̲t̲.    in  all  honesty,    perhaps  he  could  have  reigned  himself  &.    his  magic  in  a  bit,    could  not  have  overextended  himself.    but  with  mael  s̲t̲a̲n̲d̲i̲n̲g̲ ̲ ̲r̲i̲g̲h̲t̲ ̲ ̲t̲h̲e̲r̲e̲,    witnessing  it  all,    he  had  to  make  it  a  grand  show,    fit  for  satisfaction's  sake.    if  not  for  mael,    then  for  he  himself,    who  wanted  to  impress  with  his  skill  as  much  as  he  wanted  to  aid.

right  now,    though,    he  couldn't  argue.    he  was  rather  tired,    &.    didn't  protest  any  more  than  a  small  sound  of  a̲c̲k̲n̲o̲w̲l̲e̲d̲g̲e̲m̲e̲n̲t̲.    he  shut  his  eyes,    resting  his  chin  on  mael's  shoulder  &.    watching  the  way  that  dark  hair  fell  over  his  ear  &.    the  side  of  his  face.    from  here,    at  least  he  had  a  close  view.    no  matter  how  much  his  eyelids  threatened  to  droop.      ❛  i  n̲e̲v̲e̲r̲  liked,  ❜      he  said,    his  gaze  flickering  down  mael's  cheek,    inspecting  the  mark  at  the  corner  of  his  lips,      ❛  how  much  taller  you  are  than  i  am.  ❜      thirteen  inches  …  were  a  great  many.
