JASMINE PEACH TEA: A SELF-CARE/SELF-LOVE HEADCANON.
whilst mitsutada’s cool persona does mask insecurities, he also genuinely does acknowledge his own strength and skill. whilst he knows he may not always be cool or stylish, he understands that he at least served as a fine sword in the past and then in more recent times for the saniwa. he values his own experiences and skills learnt from battle and appreciates the fact that despite it all, he is indeed a strong and noble blade. it’s always really important to remember that despite him caring so much for his appearance, for his name and his legacy, he is not SELFISH or SELF-CENTRED. he can be perfectly humble, gracious and has never been selfish whatsoever especially in the midst of his fellow swords, due to his love for being an every-man’s type of personality. he does care a lot for his looks, but it never outshines his good nature. he knows this and i think he’d be shocked if anyone thought otherwise of him, that he cared more for his appearance than he did, say, the dategumi or the saniwa’s orders.
gently fixes her skewed tie. she should take more care to not rush in the morning.
Brows raise as she glances down at her straightened accessory, momentarily stunned with how she failed to notice the detail despite the quick glance she had taken in the mirror. Someone was obviously tired ( perhaps she should have taken heed of everyone’s worries yesterday— venturing through Tartarus after a busy day of after school activities was unmistakably an exhausting combination ).
Gaze raising from her own chest to the heiress’ dark irises, smile of gratitude spread across pale features. ❝ Thanks senpai, you saved me! It would’ve been embarrassing to walk out like that, aha. ❞

surely, she hadn’t pegged him to be an idiot, right? maybe on a good day, junpei could even notice the cameras set up everywhere, or more importantly, in everyone’s rooms. with how the dorm works, it only felt naturally to point the finger at mitsuru. not out of accusations or declarations, but to point out that she was the most aware of this function being installed. he’d be a hypocrite if he were to claim that he was bringing this topic up as a means for the dorm's justice to be brought down. in fact, he enjoyed the idea of these cameras recording the activity that occurs in these dorms. he spent a fair share of viewing some tapes of his fellow members and got a quick chuckle over most, so rather than taking them all down, he’d like them to stay up for his viewing pleasures.
but he can do so much more than just watch these clips of his members’ private lives, and that included potential blackmail material. ‘ the camera in my room… you can see me sleeping and stuff with that, right? ’ it’s not like he’s accusing her of doing such a thing, because this is mitsuru kirijo. she wouldn’t dare use this device to invade his privacy, right?

The fact that a young girl was capable enough to do an atrocious act like that only brought more interest to the conversation, being in front of an abandoned house that was a short walk from the Tatsumi Port Island train station. What drove that youth into staining her hands with the blood of her own family could only be left up to wonder... and that includes the respite of the departed souls that were rumored to be roaming the halls.
“Some say the place is haunted by the victims. Moans and screams heard occasionally as if the incident kept repeating itself.” Silvery-sapphire eyes remain fixated onto the establishment. There’s something in there that’s making him curious, a strange determination to know whether the hearsay is valid. “...You wanna check it out?”

pink lipstick stains the rim of serena’s hot chocolate cup, the early - morning wake up call wears on her ; but there’s no evidence of that in her always neat, always prim appearance. mitsuru is easy to spot outside the museum, bright, velvety hair and poise stance setting her apart from any other passerby who happened to be out and about as early as they.
❝ i’m really sorry i’m late, mitsuru - chan! you know, it’s always so hard to get out of bed, then get out of the shower... ❞ she trails off with a gentle, apologetic smile. ❝ why did you want to meet so early, if you don’t mind me asking? are you interested in the history here? ❞ / @hiemals ♡

UNEASE AMIDST THE ELITE — there's no excuse for how discomfited katsuya feels in the company of his nation's finest, but he's also painfully aware that he really shouldn't be here. working-class eyes survey with wonder things these people find commonplace, and despite his suit being the finest he has, he still feels dreadfully under-dressed. some would call an invitation to glittering corporate parties one of the perks behind befriending a CEO like nanjo; he'd call it a drawback, and persuasion without conscience was the only thing that forced his hand on accepting the invitation. it seems now, liquid strength is the only thing that will see him through the evening.
the waiter drifting past with bubbling insults to his liver is a saviour in this light, and katsuya has learnt that it is deemed acceptable to simply lift glasses from passing trays. but when he reaches for it, his hand bumps another out of the way — how fitting that even here, there is economic competition — and the contact startles the detective out of reaching at all. that waiter is gone; to no victor goes the spoils, and katsuya is left only with an embarrassment that increases tenfold when he turns to regard whomever he clashed with. a young woman! perhaps the daughter of some politician?
″ my apologies — that is, i didn't mean — perhaps i could find you another ... ? ″
