👉 - does your character gesture to draw someone's attention to other people/things? are they likely to notice if they get pointed at? if they don't point, what's another gesture they might use?

unlike his sister, malakai is really good at getting someone’s attention on something without being obvious about it. small twitches of his head, subtle glances towards whatever it is, maybe a wave towards the thing that he can pass off as a regular gesture of his. he would also probably notice himself getting pointed at, but he likes attention so he’d act like he can’t tell. 

🖕 - someone touches your character in a way that's rude or that they just don't like (i.e. shoves past them, etc). what do they do?

Hey, guys. Welcome to my (first ever, so there’s bound to be a learning curve, be gentle with me) writeblr. I’m your host, Historia, she/her, a socially awkward 18-year-old, who is prone to daydreaming more than writing her wips because... procrastination, and can be found chugging coffee like it’s water. I’m a Gemini and INTJ, which is why I’ve been lovingly dubbed by my IRLs as “lemon dipped in honey”. I love reading, almost all genres of music, learning foreign languages and most recently, I’ve rediscovered my love for anime.

When it comes to books, my favorite genres are fantasy, mystery, sci-fi, and horror. Also give me all the morally grey characters and I will love every single one of them. Writing-wise, I’m more focused on fantasy, with a lot of heavy themes (because I like to get philosophical) and a lot of morally grey characters (because, and I repeat, I absolutely adore them).

As I mentioned above, your girl has a serious problem with starting and actually finishing her wips, hence the conception of this blog, where I shall document my process and hold myself accountable, while being inspired by the other amazing writers in the platform. I’m currently working on 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬, a new adult fantasy featuring mystery, some pinches of horror, action, political intrigue and a whole host of other things which are going to be specified in the wip intro post. I’m almost done with the outline (it’s been a year, send help) and I hope to start writing the damn thing in January.

WIP: These Cursed Paths

This quote from Leigh Bardugo’s Crooked Kingdom: “But what about the rest of us? What about the nobodies and the nothings, the invisible girls? We learn to hold our heads as if we wear crowns. We learn to wring magic from the ordinary. That was how you survived when you weren’t chosen, when there was no royal blood in your veins. When the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway.” and Ketterdam’s overall vibe.

That one time a man tried to follow me home. No, seriously. He really thought I wouldn’t notice, the idiot. Anyway, I lost him no problem (being a writer has perks outside of writing itself, in that I knew a whole slew of things to do to avoid the sleazy asshole) but my brain couldn’t help wondering what would’ve happened if he’d gotten his smarmy hands on me, thus launching me into the most intense daydream session which, in turn, brought about the kidnapping part of the plot.

My philosophy classes and one particular discussion we had about morality and the distinction between right and wrong in different cultures, which I explore in TCP.

Lockscreen is very straightforward. Pretty aesthetic picture found on Pinterest (I have a whole board of these and I change them every month, lol).

Last picture (or GIF in my case, does that count?) is Levi being a badass and since I’m a Levi hoe on main and experiencing all the feelings because of SNK season 4 dropping, I have this to stare at everytime I feel like it (and also a board on Pinterest that’s amost at 500 pins because why not?). Moooving on...
