I'm a queer, disabled author born and raised in Essex, England. I specialise in contemporary science-fantasy, exploring the real life drama of our world wrapped in a fantastical, magical and often dark and dangerous mythos.
Occasionally I also delve into fantasy worldbuilding! I have two urban and one straight-up fantasy worldbuilding WIPs that I occasionally return to ^.^
Projects (below the cut)
Children go missing all the time. That's what they're told. They run away, they're kidnapped, they die. Scattered throughout Scotland, a handful of families remember the truth of what happened to their families. The violent, paranormal attacks that destroyed their lives and took their children from them.
Twenty years after the first incidents, the disappearances are happening again. The missing children are adults now, and reconnecting with the people they lost, but everything has changed. There is something sinister casting its shadow over their heads, and now they must fight to return the light to their lives. To learn to love and laugh and carry on living -- while the truth of their history threatens to destroy them.
The Truth Saga is my main baby! I've already published the first novel of the series and am working on an audiobook version AND the second novel as we speak!
Entries:
Reckless Truth: Contemporary science-fantasy with mystery elements! Available now as ebook and paperback! An audiobook is also in progress which you can support here!
When they were children, their brother was stolen and their mother killed. Elyan and Lydia Moore have dedicated their lives to finding out what really happened that night, and where their brother was taken – but the truth will throw them into chaos they could never predict.
Bitter Truth: Paranormal romance, so much drama! In the drafting/redrafting phase!
Raised a child supersoldier, there are a lot of things Blade has never had. An identity, a childhood… Loyalty and strength are all he has to lean on. When the object of his loyalty abandons him, he turns to the only security he has — but will he learn to see past the conditioning he felt safe in? Or will the bitter truth be too much to bear?
Fearless Truth: Romantic tragedy? Still in the plotting phase!
This world ruled by technological advancement has no room for the Magi. Once, centuries ago in the Forgotten Age, magic ruled the world of Neria. Every cloud and river and blade of grass was controlled by The Old Magi , at least that's what they say.
Whether or not it's true, there's no way of knowing now. The Great Cataclysm that brought about the Endless Night and, with it, ushered in the New Age, erased what might have been. Now the Magi are simply an anomaly -- a sickness, if the The Myriad churches are to be believed.
Still, the Magi are here. They exist. And whether the world is ready for their return or not, they're making their voices heard.
Project Magi is an urban fantasy project I poke at often because I adore worldbuilding and also spreading myself paper-thin 😂
Entries:
House of Magi: In the early drafting phase!
Everyone knows the Magi exist. Some say the foundations of the greatest cities were built upon the bones of ancient Magi; others that they are simply freaks of evolution. One thing most agree on: they’re dangerous. When Brienne awakens as a Magi, her life is turned upside down and she must learn what it means to be an outcast — and what it means to find a community of her own.
Project Monolith is my attempt at branching into Paranormal Horror! It's heavily inspired by the F.E.A.R. franchise and hopes to be a twist on the "vengeful female spirit" trope.
Still contains my favourite elements though! Found family, supernatural threat and unethical child experimentation 😅
This is a loooong-term worldbuilding project that was meant to be community-based but a lot of the community were either removed thanks to interpersonal drama or are just otherwise inactive 😭
Still, it's my baby. Cyberfei is an Urban Fantasy sandbox world surrounding the concept of a Eutopian future in which the fae have revealed their existence and demand equal standing with humans.
I have actually forgotten both the password and email used to get into the Tumblr account so it'll be remade eventually but here it is for a crash course XD It's also on WorldAnvil for now!

I'm Vellinaria, but you can also call me Vell or Velli if you'd like.
If my username didn't give it a way, I do have a love of World of Warcraft even with all its ups and downs over the years.
I've been writing for many years as a hobby though I've barely shared any of my original works in all this time. I'd like to change that with this blog.
When I'm not writing, you can usually find me hanging out with my family, reading, or trying my hand at some new hobby that piqued my interest.
I love history, mythology, and fairy tales. I love romance, fantasy, suspense, and even a little sci-fi (specifically steampunk) when reading across all age groups. I also love horror and other types of sci-fi, but more often in movie/show form over the written word. I love monsters and things that go bump in the night. I love learning new things and going down rabbit holes.
I love meeting new people even though I can be quite shy at first, but I can talk your ear off about many things once I'm comfortable.
My hopes for this blog is to become a place where I can share my stories while also sharing and enjoying others' stories, sharing pretty art, and fun posts about writing and other things that pique my interests.
Stories that I'll be posting will most likely be Teen-rated, but that could change with time.
It's honestly been a bit since I've written anything original as I've spent the last few years working on fanfiction pieces. Still writing them, too, but that is being kept separate from this space on purpose. If you find that blog on here or my AO3 account, you'll win the prize.
Ideally, I'll be posting a story a week (probably Fridays), but I'll be letting you know if I don't have a story ready for the week.
As for the stories themselves, they'll either be contemporary, historical, and even fantasy. Some will have magic and/or mythical creatures while others will be free of them. Fairy tale retellings are a high possibility as well. Maybe a little mystery and/or horror. Monster lover stories are highly probable. You just never know!
All will be properly tagged though so you'll be able to filter out what you don't want to see.
My asks and messages will always be open if you'd like to be friends. I would love to find other writeblrs with similar interests. If you like this intro, please feel free to give me a follow and we'll see how it goes from there.
Hello! Welcome to my blog! <3 I am a SFF writer, virtual artist, and wannabe musician/singer. Here I will be posting my art, my writing, about books I read and nerdy media I consume, and I will be sharing others' creations as well. If you are interested in that, then feel free to stick around.
Before we continue, know that this is a safe space for all marginalized people. This includes BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and neurodivergent communities. This is a place to show compassion and learn from each other. If you don't like that, this is not the place for you. This will still be (mostly) free from news and politics.
I am still figuring out my new brand, so apologies for any inconsistencies!
Website for author and artist Kait From The Cosmos. Her author pen name is K. M. Bane.
About Me
I am a white neurodivergent late twenty-something adult. :) I change my pronouns based on my mood every now and then, but she/her is fine.
I have ADHD. Maybe autism? I have anxiety, so please bear with me if I am slow at times and feeling nervous. I also have PCOS, but I have been on a health and self-love journey for the past few years.
I am panromantic sex-repulsed asexual. I simp for everyone.
I am shy, but I want to make friends. I am on a journey of building confidence and re-discovering my hobbies.
I love writing science fiction and fantasy and I like doing digital or traditional art in an anime style. I have been drawing and writing for the majority of my life.
Feel free to ramble to me about your special interests and creations. :3 <3

Thank you to anyone who read this all the way through! I will be updating when I can! (AKA when I feel like it. XD)
martin. male. late 20s. northern minnesota, USA. MFA in creative writing.
i am disabled and chronically ill; when i periodically vanish it's because i'm dealing with that.
open to tag games, questions and prompts, etc, i'm just slow and forgetful lol
about my work
i have three main WIPs that i shift my focus between: wizard novel, vampire novel, and alchemist novel. i typically don't name projects until they're complete.
wizard novel is a grand-scale dark fantasy trilogy with a setting inspired by medieval scandinavia about two men, a misanthropic elven mage and an aimless aging warrior, who are sucked into a conspiracy that forces them to reckon with legacies of violence, their places in a society that discards them, and ultimately what they're willing to sacrifice for the potential of a better world.
vampire novel is a young adult paranormal romance set in a small northern minnesota town in 2009 about a teenage boy who, reeling and isolated after a personal tragedy, meets a strange girl with her own dark past and an obsessive quest to retrieve something from the bottom of the lake.
my greatest influences are the nature writing of robert macfarlane, the fiction of julia fine, katherine addison, and cat valente, fantasy RPGs like dragon age and the elder scrolls, and the films of masaaki yuasa, alex cox, and jane schoenbrun.
about this blog
i don't care who follows me. this blog is occasionally NSFW. my writing contains graphic violence and explicit sex.
i will not follow blogs that post a lot of political issues or current events. this is because i am here to have fun, not to be angry, depressed, homicidal, or suicidal. this will not change. love and light

You may have known me as quilloftheclouds! I am now druzydabbles. Curious about the name change? Here's a bit more on that.
But without further ado! Hi hello hey howdy good day to all you delightful lovelies, call me Druzy (they/them)! This is the blog that suffers under the barrage of my chaotically on-fire-all-the-time brain children I call "My Ideas".
Watch out for the occasional deluge of overly enthusiastic rambling praise of the absolute splendour of my fellow creatives' work. Disregard the haphazard, makeshift mess of scaffolding that is the headache-inducing overhaul of my various original stories. I'm sure that lopsided, towering pile of queued up reblogs of creative resources (advice, references, inspiration, ask games, etc.!) is perfectly safe, it's just shaking and leaning towards you because it's so excited you're here!
I've got a lot of work to do to update my assorted project pages and introductions, and you can simply forget about any semblance of up-to-date-ed-ness when it comes to the pre-2026 posts on my main story's worldbuilding or character backgrounds. Only a few years later, and my old writing makes me cringe. >:0
Nonetheless! I have left up all those old snippets and elaborative rants to be perused if you feel so inclined, despite my fervent internal pleading for the contrary. Just don't trust anything you read to be accurate to the current plot line I have in my head.
Anyways. I'm a writeblr! Reblog this post if you are also a fellow living entity deranged enough (/affectionate) to depict brain-children with words! Introduce yourself and your stories! Help me find why fate hath cursed us thusly as we venture through the troublesome hardships of writing, together!
And read on for a brief look at my own current projects~!
Series Title: Anchored Souls (Main WIP)
Book Titles: One Siren's Soul, Two Witch's Woven, Three Star's Stolen
Brief: pirate fantasy with a focus on sirens/merfolk; quantum physics inspired, element-based magic system; souls, memories, and sense of self; everyone has grey morality; ironic identities; balancing the importance of one's past, present, and future.
Book Title: CIRCUIT (Novella - Secondary WIP)
Brief: modern sci-fi of secret agents vs. aliens; "high tech" when without electricity; light-based lifeforms; implications of electrokinesis in a technology-reliant world; the process of healing from grieving loss; adopting the enemy (because it turns out they're actually the equivalent of a five-year-old).
Book Title: The Dark's Treasured Glow (Concept stage)
Brief: solarpunk exoplanet colony floating above a perpetual cloud layer, the surface world cast in darkness; dragon-inspired secretly sapient extraterrestrial lifeforms; bioluminescent-based biology and evolution; experimental narrative without sight cues; fighting the corruption behind the utopian facade; a discussion of "owning" land and natural resources.
I’m a queer disabled writer writing queer adult fantasy featuring weird, queer disabled characters
I’m always open to asks and tag games!
I’ve dabbled in so many different genres and styles over the years, but love symbolic, poetic writing, and am currently on a fantasy and romance kick, with all my WIPs falling into action/adventure too
just a warning: I do write detailed sex scenes, a fair amount of graphic violence, and tackle sensitive topics, including the messiness of living with severe mental illnesses and navigating sexual intimacy after sexual trauma.
(though, my usual posts have been the stupid shit I write when I’m bored and tired—my favorite)
this is a new account, but I’m far from new to tumblr and writeblr. this is a second attempt at a writing blog on here for me, with a focus on increasing opportunities for connection for writers. in these trying times, art and connection have never been more crucial, yet unfortunately also most attacked and lacking, respectively.
I used to be @starbuds-and-rosedust , you can find me on ao3 and itch.io by the same handle, and on Bsky @ starbuds-and-roses

current WIPs:
joke intros
“the big wip” (arcs 2/7)
two disgustingly-in-love middle aged men just try to fuck around and find out (literally & figuratively) together in peace but an angst-filled 20yo weapon crashing out over his ex-situationship has other plans. oh and don't forget the grief
“Pal”
you ever wonder what would happen if you actually took those traveling proselytizers up on their offer? welp, it looks like that cult somehow all of you joined late one night in a moment of weakness is indeed the murdery kind
Lark
jaded tragic lesbian vampire gets stuck on a road trip with the world's most unhinged fifteen-year-old girl and her cold dead heart is forced to care for someone for the first time in decades
long intros
“the big wip”
secondary world fantasy, romance, action/adventure, swords & (a bit of) sorcery, coming of age, Own Voice (disability rep), adult, disability & queer rep
high in explicit sexual content, discussions of loss and suicide/suicidal behavior, and descriptions of blood and injury
features a fleshed out world that seven different main POV stories take place in so far. the world has its own unique celestial bodies, night/day cycles, two suns, countless moons, creation story involving a handful of gods and goddesses and one vengeful god, and seven different main kingdoms with a shared origin history and unique cultures, people, and geographic features
Bazyli (bah-zihlee) and Cecyl (see-sihl) Tzetzes (tzeht-zees)’s story follows a pre-established, lovey-dovey married couple—the King of Glazign, King Bazyli Tzetzes, and his husband, Lord Cecyl—who have two adult sons, Aleksey and Bence. It centers around:
kingly affairs
dealing with a particularly annoying bigoted neighboring kingdom when yours is essentially a progressive electoral monarchy that seems to attract interesting, unconventional characters to rise to leadership
navigating an acquired disability (/of a loved one) under the public eye (be advised that although they get lucky, their life is pretty much a guide to how to NOT live with a seizure disorder with a very short aura period before episodes)
grief
figuring out how to pick up the pieces of a relationship while enduring grief
reclaiming sexuality
enjoying the process of fucking around and finding out in middle age
and accidental fugitive acquisition.
Eloy Maro de las Llanurjoj (ē-loy mah-r~oh dey lahs yah-nur~-yoy ~indicates rolled sound)’s is the post-teenage "coming of age" story of the beloved prince of Ferraz's personal guard and sheltered childhood friend who has never had anyone but him. Being so close to royalty ousts him from his community in the plains, and bearing the surname Maro, relation to his older sister, and the same condition brings on the declaration of being a curse, courtesy of said community. No one else has ever wanted him.
Outside of exposition, his story actively moves through:
mildly homoerotic situationship
ignoring one's feelings through rage
trying to persist in an old identity and role that one has been forced out of by circumstance
accidentally collapsing half dead on the king of an opposing kingdom's doorstep (twice)
extreme stubbornness
going through the mess of trying to forge a new life for oneself after the old one has been torn out from under your feet and ditched you in a foreign place.
“Pal”
quest fantasy, romantic subplot, action/adventure, swords & (a bit of) sorcery, adult, disability & queer rep
high in graphic depictions of violence and disturbing gore
set in a DND-esque world with so far minimal world building, features a main group adventuring party that's being hunted down by a group of cultists that all members of the original group were once tied to somehow, and is split into two main acts
meet:
Echethier (ehtch-ih-theer) — "Mind if I speak freely?" the "dad/ grandad" of the main group
Paych (paych... like "paycheck" without the "-eck" and slurred together) — "Alchemy can't fix that." the perpetually annoyed alchemist who can technically poison them all covertly if she wishes but chooses not to
Cal'eris (cahl-EHR-ihs) — "Do you want me to kill him?" is a major source of conflict as much as he is stuck in perpetual internal conflict: homophobic loser that you hate to sympathize with
Hali (hah-lee) — "I, uh, sorta forgot everything in the other room. I'll be right back." a seemingly carefree, hotheaded trickster and former thief that has just been given the most convenient ticket out from the town that hated him. also a newly discovered bisexual disaster
Yasča (yahsh-chah) — "At least the blizzards will give me a warmer welcome than you have." a cold, stoic, sometimes sharp tongued, 4'9" swordsman from an isolated mountain community and who hardly speaks common. was dragged into this bullshit by helping the wrong clueless foreigner and is now stuck with him
Maessil (may-seel) — understandably full of teenage rage due to complicated cultist lore and is only nice to her lyre. don't be fooled by the bright colors—they weren't originally pastels
Nim (nihm) — "I like to get to know a man before I kill him."
Lark
urban fantasy, modern setting, coming of age, action/adventure, teenaged protagonist, adult, queer rep
high in depictions of grief and descriptions of disturbing acts of “self-violence”
jaded tragic lesbian vampire, Laurel, gets stuck on a road trip with the world's most unhinged fifteen-year-old girl, Lola, and her cold dead heart is forced to care for someone for the first time in decades
excerpt (draft):
[…] but cave to her "whims". Though, that gravel to her voice sharpened into a bitter, serated edge—enough to dig in and bite instead of graze.
"You're a walking corpse."
She shrugged it off, like Laurel was the little puppy nipping at her ankles that had just been kicked, and twirled her hair around her finger. "So. . . no?"
Laurel spared her a glance, lips pressed into that tight line that bordered on frown just enough it was as if she was making a point of showing she couldn't be bothered to commit to the expression. "Most likely not."
