“HELLO AMERICA and welcome to aftersun,” Ciara started, “I’m your host, Ciara Miller,”
Tefi chimed in, “I am also your host, Tefi Pessoa,”
“Where do you think we should start?”
“I think we have to talk about our biggest dumping yet!” Ciara said, “5 people left the villa, Caleb, Y/n, Gal, Amora and Jen!”
“All 5 dumped islanders are here, and we have the never before seen footage moments after they were dumped,” Tefi revealed. “Feast your eyes,”
The screen switched to the scenes of their dumping, first was Jens. She was taken to a nearby building for all the dumped islanders. Moments later, Gal and Amora walked in closely followed by Caleb and Y/n.
“Noo my babys, how were you dumped?” Jen sighed hugging the two of them.
Y/n shrugged, “To be honest, I don’t really care I mean I found what I was looking for so..” leaning into Caleb as he kissed her forehead.
Jen looked at the pair of them, smiling lightly.
They talked a little while longer about how they were dumped and who voted for who before the producer asked “Alright you guys ready to go to the hotel?”, they all agreed immediately, exhausted from the long night.
The screen switched back to Ciara and Tefi, “Welcome back to AfterSun,” Tefi smiled, “Last night we watched, one of the publics favourite couples get dumped… Caleb and Y/n,”
“We are now going to show you the moment they get their phones back,” Ciara announced.
The screen cut to Caleb and Y/n sat together on a couch, the producers handing them their phones.
“Oh my gosh, it’s just so weird holding it,” Caleb said, Y/n agreeing with him.
“Everything’s just going crazy,” Y/n giggled.
“Shall we check Instagram together?” Caleb asked her.
She nodded opening the app to 99+ notifications, “Oh my god,” her jaw dropped, “650 thousand followers what?”
“Wait what did you start with?” the producer asked her.
“Like 3 thousand this is insane,” she said turning to Caleb looking over his shoulder, “Shit baby, 430k?”
He turned to her, “Oh my god look at the comments, I love them together, My winners, no this is crazy,”
He pecked her lips before the producers asked him how he felt about everything, “I had a hard time in there before this one came in,” he gestured to Y/n, “But coming out to so much love for both of us just makes it all worth it,”
“Alright let’s call my mum,” Y/n said turning to Caleb, “Do you want to talk to her?”
“Of course beautiful,” he said kissing the side of her face.
Her mums face popped up on the screen, Y/n’s eye starting to water. “Hey, how are you doing Y/n/n?”
“I’m good, I’ve missed you all loads,” she sighed through watery eyes.
“Where’s Caleb? I wanna speak to him,” she asked the girl bluntly.
“Oh mum so you didn’t miss me?” she joked rolling her eyes, pulling Caleb into the camera, “Hello, it’s so lovely to meet you,” he said nervously.
“Oh my gosh, Caleb it is so lovely to meet you. You’ve been looking after our girl very good,” her mum ranted, throwing compliments at him.
“She’s been taking good care of me too,” he smiled leaning in further to Y/n so he’s more in the camera.
“Before she even walked in, I said to her dad that she was going to go for you,” Y/n’s mum confessed, “And I want you to know that you are a lovely respectful man and I want that for my daughter,”
“That means a lot, thank you,” he smiled kissing Y/n’s cheek, “You’ve raised a beautiful and wonderful girl, you should be proud,”
Her mum teared up, “Thank you Caleb, we all can’t wait to meet you in person,”
They said their goodbyes as the clip ended flashing back to Ciara and Tefi.
“Please welcome, Caleb and Y/n!” they squealed.
They hugged both of them before sitting in the two chairs.
“So Y/n as we have just seen you got to talk to your mum. How was that?” Ciara asked.
“Yeah, it was emotional for sure but I was so happy to see her, like I’m really close to her so being away for so long has been really difficult,” she confessed.
“What was it like hearing her opinion on Caleb?” Tefi asked as Y/n pulled her hair behind her ears.
“Yeah it was amazing. I’m so glad that they see what I see and my family’s opinion is really important to me, so yeah I’m so happy,” she smiled turning to Caleb.
“What about you Caleb? What was that like for you?” they questioned.
“Nerve wracking for sure, but I’m so happy that her parents like me and I can’t wait to get to know them more,” Caleb replied his hand landing on Y/n’s thigh.
“By the way Caleb we need to clear something up… 20/13 vision is much better than 20/30,” Tefi clarified.
“I told y’all!” he exclaimed excitedly.
“You got pilot vision,” Ciara giggled.
“Maybe that’s why I saw things she didn’t,” he joked making Y/n laugh.
“No disrespect to Y/n but if things would have worked out with Kenzie would you still have persued other connections like Y/n,” Tefi asked gesturing to Y/n.
Y/n tensed up, awkwardness seeping into the conversation as Caleb opened his mouth to respond, “Look I mean we can say what’s ifs and maybes but at the end of the day my connection with Y/n is a lot stronger than it ever was with Kenzie,”
“Good answer,” Ciara nodded, smirking slightly.
“Caleb you’ve said in the last few episodes maybe you have come out of your shell a bit more. Because I’ve seen you doing the worm on TikTok,” Tefi laughed.
“I think infront of all the cameras and having to constantly talk to everyone you don’t have the time to sit with yourself and your emotions,” he said squeezing Y/n’s thigh slightly.
“I also think that they didn’t show a lot of that, like from the moment I met him he was full of energy and enthusiasm but I think he’s also really mature,” Y/n said smiling at him. “I mean some people have said that we were boring but I think it’s just because we were so for each other that we didn’t really need to explore,”
Caleb nodded before Tefi continued, “You two have also gained Americas love. I’ve seen the outrage at your dumping, has it all sunk in yet?”
“No it’s insane, like my notifications are full,” Y/n joked.
“Mad,” Caleb shook his head.
“Also Y/n we have to talk about movie night…” Ciara raised her eyebrows. “How did you feel about Kenzie comments,”
“I think they were uncalled for. I mean calling me a game player when all she’s done in there is play with two guys at once. I really don’t know if it’s jealousy or just snarky comments, but at the end of the day I’ve been true to myself and I’ve found myself a man,” Y/n replied bluntly, Caleb laughing at her comments trying to cover his smile.
“Ok girl, preach,” Tefi said encouragingly.
“You touched on earlier how some people said you were boring or quiet, why do you think that is?” Ciara asked.
“I think I’ve always been more introverted, like from a young age. I struggle in big groups to like get into the conversation so maybe that’s why?” Caleb replied turning to Y/n, “I think we are quite similar in that way but like the moment we’re together we are just always laughing and joking,”
“Yeah, I think like speaking in a big group of people is daunting to me, but when we speak just us two it’s just easy and comfortable,” she smiled.
“Ok last question, we have to ask, are you two still together? or still talking…” they said sheepishly.
“Very much together,” Caleb confirmed, “No labels yet but I think they will be coming very soon,” he winked as she blushed at his comment.
The girls cheered, squealing together, “You guys found love on Love Island!!”
“Oh yes we did!” he exclaimed pecking her lips.
