Hidden Fear (1957, Andre De Toth)
Hidden Fear Why am I in this nightmare? Fear, when did you show up? Did you hear the rustling in my heart ?
Hidden Fear || Vishnal & Katie

So Vishnal was...optimistic as a person, yes. He knew that he had strengths. He also knew that he had weaknesses, and that it was his job as a growing, maturing teenager to address those weaknesses and improve himself every single day.
Cooking, for example, was one of the biggest weaknesses that he had, and it ruined him every time that he thought about it. If he was to succeed as a maid or a butler or any such thing one day, he had to have the ability to cook for his employer. What if they were feeling sick one day? What if their chef called out due to an emergency? He had to be ready to pick up and do what was required of him at a moment’s notice.
Besides, it had been a few months now since he last gave one of his sister’s food poisoning. Surely he was improving.
He bustled up next to his closest deskmate - Katie - one day in class when Miss Clementine paired them up to work on a recipe. “Hello!” he said cheerfully, shooting her a bright smile. “Um, shall we work together on this cake?”
