NaLu - WW2 Au (cliché of wounded soldier and nurse)
give me an au and I will give you 5+ headcanons for it
Natsu is brought into the infirmary Lucy works in, bloodied and bruised, but in casual clothing.
They tell her they found him in a ditch, unconscious.
Of course she gets to work immediately, saving his life -- and discovering a metal plate that identifies him as a soldier. A German soldier.
She hides the plate, and continues to treat his wounds for days, until he wakes up.
Through careful smalltalk, Lucy tries to find out more about him, but of course he doesn’t tell her everything she wants to know. His accent gives him away though, and he is surprised to find out that she covers for him.
As trust grows between them, he opensup and tells her he deserted the army, but got persecuted and almost killed for it.
He recovers fully after a month, but opts to stay by her side -- and to tell authorities about himself, and all the enemy’s plans he knows about. He becomes an important chess piece in the war, but him and Lucy are inseparable.
They fall in love, hoping to lead a happy life. But then Natsu’s new boss wants him to go back to the German front -- as a spy.
