Murmansk is so fucking cool. there's a village on the northernmost point, on the shore of the Northern Sea, where you can look like straight towards the north pole and it's miles upon miles of sea. the ice is so salty I started coughing after licking a piece (out of curiosity). it was so cold I could barely see, my eyes haven't stung so much ever since I learned to close them when washing my head. there are piney cliffs and vast fields that get covered in snow and look like the purgatory. Murmansk is so fucking beautiful god I wish I could take a couple weeks off work and go there during the arctic night.
