I enjoyed the Hawkgirl movie that has Superman in it.
This popped up in my FB Memories today. The pencil sketch was based on a pre-Elon Twitter Mermay piece from two months before. My submission for the monthlong mermaid art theme was a Wild West Sheriff. That idea ran out of steam for a potential comic, but what did develop, as I made this pencil sketch, became a Lady of the Lake in the Old West, and that became a cosmic expansion on the King Arthur legend. That story anchored my Outskirts anthology, and that led to the Nameless graphic novel sequel after a lot of research on Shackleton and South Pacific mythology. All from a goofy sketch for a social media trend.
I was back at the car dealership today, exactly nine years later, but I didn't get to sketch. I will later today though. Who knows what might come from that.

A friend who knows very much more about manga than I do recommended a series to try called Witch Hat Atelier, and that was a home run call. It uses witchcraft as an analogy for the love and discipline of drawing. It's clever and cute. I have only read the first volume, and I had to draw the flying spell. I hope to read more as soon as I can.
The current Scarlet Witch comic pairs her with Darcy Lewis from the Thor movies and WandaVision, as they help desperate people fend off magical threats. It's a good read.
In the current comics, Nightcrawler has become a Spider-Man while the X-Men are on the run.
