bellucci  family  history,  danny  +  jackie  welles  friendship  /  in-game  connections.

the  bellucci  family  (originally  from  sicily,  camorra  mafia  region),  longtime  residents  of  the  badlands.  a  generation  or  two  before  2077  (established  around  the  year  2000),  members  of  the  bellucci  family  left  sicily  to  have  a  more  stable  future.  fast  forward  to  the  year  2077:  carlo  and  his  wife  valentina  bellucci  run  the  family  /  clan  amassed  of  just  over  fifty  nomads.  residing  in  the  badlands  allows  the  belluccis  to  have  consistent  work  in  night  city  when  they  wish,  while  still  able  to  keep  their  distance  as  they  please.  the  bellucci  family  maintains  positive  ties  to  the  aldecaldos,  valentinos  and  more.

eliza’s  grandfather  (a  born  and  raised  elderly  resident  of  sicily)  sends  a  young  eliza  to  live  with  the  bellucci  family  in  the  badlands,  knowing  that  she’ll  have  more  freedom  of  choice  as  she  lives  and  learns  there.  she  grows  up  under  the  loving  and  attentive  watch  of  carlo  and  val,  her  aunt  and  uncle,  alongside  her  beloved  cousins  (adoptive  siblings).  the  family  is  close-knit  and  heavily  dedicated  to  the  success  and  happiness  of  one  another.  to  the  quiet  dismay  of  carlo  and  valentina,  eliza  is  sent  into  night  city  to  pursue  success  in  her  dream  of  creating/writing/producing  music;  no  one  could  have  imagined  how  that  path  would  turn  as  tragic  as  it  does  for  eliza.

carlo  primes  his  sons  from  a  young  age  to  act  as  nomad  scouts,  often  taking  them  into  night  city  with  him  for  work.  danny,  carlo’s  eldest  son,  quickly  befriends  one  jackie  welles  of  heywood.  the  two  remain  close  as  brothers  throughout  the  years  -  as  danny  begins  to  take  over  his  father’s  role  as  head  of  the  family,  one  of  the  convincing  factors  for  allowing  eliza  to  pursue  music  in  night  city  is  the  presence  of  jackie  welles.  danny  knows  and  trusts  jackie  like  a  brother,  and  feels  safer  having  eliza  not  be  entirely  alone  in  night  city  with  the  promise  of  jackie  nearby.
