One whole year

When we first met, it was October 19th, 2011. MLP was about 3 episodes into its second season.

Prior to that, I had found pones by sheer accident, eventually finding out about Equestria Daily after acquiring a Fluttershy ringtone from EQD. Upon looking at the website a little more, I discovered that there was a Steam group for EQD! I had just created a Steam account sometime in June, so I figured "Hey, I like ponies, and I'm new to Steam, so I might as well join!"

I would have never guessed how much my life would change from that decision.

My first day in there was Oct 19. Someone in the Steam group chat was asking for people to RP (Roleplay, to those not in the know (Later on, I'll learn that the person was your little brother. I mean, that's crazy!)). The mods linked a side group for RPers, and having not heard of RP, I decided to join and see what all the fuss was about. Later that night, we had our small introductions, and we had an RP that lasted for several hours, one that was extremely silly and crazy, and from there, our friendship flourished. To this day, I'm not sure we ever figured out that situation with Fluttershy!

From that day on, we maintained constant contact, sharing how our days went and whatnot. Be it through ups or downs, we poked at and laughed with one another, spending more and more time with each other, having continually strange and wonderful RP situations, including one that was late at night in Twilight's library that I'll forever cherish. Random cheesy pony soap opera names, library's being cleaned, just a wonderful time for all.

Soon after, things just...started to click, I suppose. It was a feeling that I haven't felt before, to be completely honest: I began to feel as though I liked you. It was a new feeling that made me feel really funny for quite some time. I started questioning if I actually felt in love with you, or in love with the idea of you, that is, a relationship. After a lot - and I mean a lot - of thinking, I knew that I was actually in love with you. And so, on Valentines Day last year, we both decided to become a couple.

When we started dating, I had a boyfriend. Now, I have a girlfriend, and I love you all the same.

The decision for us to be a couple has made me happier that I could ever possibly express in mere words. So hopefully, this song helps express that a little better!

Devin and I met two years from October 19th in probably the most unorthodox ways, but I'll be damned if it didn't make my life so much better because of it.
