Pre-Mount Phoenix, 2020 mentions: @mpxvincent
Her eyes opened slowly, admiring the visage before them. He was asleep, so deeply like she had never seen him in the last two years. At last, their efforts brought results and everyone could finally rest, everyone could move forward to the next thing. And that’s exactly why Hecate was unable to shut her eyes. The goddess slithered away from his embrace, silently stepping away into the common room as there was no one there.
Under the pretence she’d be getting herself a cup of water, Hecate’s flew as her eyes stared at the reflection from a nearby window, allowing her to face her true form. 'Look what you’ve done.' Hecate’s voice would still be quiet, but her mind spoke loudly. 'You cannot have him. You cannot have this.' The right head spoke to her, the facts feeling like knives. Hecate had long ago convinced herself that love and romance were something she would never be able to experience. Such humane emotions were weak and in her honesty, she was the weakest at that moment.
His smile, scent and laugh had lingered for too long and too close to her heart. Hecate had become numb, the eternal loneliness she’d built taking over her existence and Vincent came like a hurricane to her life. However, as sweet as she felt, this wasn’t right and Hecate had to fix this and continue her purpose to exist. The two voices became too loud and she shut her eyes for a few seconds, the high-pitched sound buzzing through her brain. 'Enough.'
