Amy smiled weakly at him and shook her head, pushing away the bowl of chicken noodle soup in his hands. “No, I’m full. If you keep trying to force that soup on me, I’ll throw up on you,” she teased, though the sight of food was a bit nauseating.
She stiffly turned over to her side, facing Rory in his chair that he’d pulled up to the bedside. Amy cringed, groaning slightly as her head pounded — apparently she had moved to quickly. “I’m okay, Rory. You should go to work, I can take care of myself,” she said, her voice growing more and more hoarse throughout the sentence. Sure, it hurt to talk and breathe and move to quickly but she wasn’t about to tell Rory that. He didn’t need to know about the vomiting either, she didn’t want to worry him.
