Returning Students
Sometimes it happens, as the generations pass, that past students of the university have died. It is the way of life and nothing to be feared. You are not forgotten. Indeed, the university has a long memory and no student is ever forgotten. Even the stones can remember the weight of your steps, carried on over years and imprinting with what your footfalls add to your essence.
Sometimes it happens, when a new year begins and fresh students walk the grounds of the university. They find faculty they have never met welcoming them back. They find themselves able to navigate the shifting hallways with a familiarity of senior students. Even the stones they walk on ring distant memories that have no origin. The stones remember them too, and welcome back these returning students.
