I try to keep this blog niche and focused on hanfu (which is a huge topic to cover and more than enough for me to handle tbh), with occasional dabbling in Han people’s fashion during the Qing dynasty & Republican era/Minguo. I have a few posts in my ethnicminoritydress tag, but it’s not much.

As far as I know, there isn’t a print magazine solely dedicated to hanfu in China. However, there’s a monthly magazine called Chinese Heritage/中华遗产 (which is a part of the Chinese National Geography/中国国家地理 magazine series) that focuses on traditional Chinese culture, often including hanfu. Each issue focuses on a specific topic. For example, there are issues on traditional Chinese weddings (above and below left) and traditional Chinese makeup (below right): 

The magazine also published a comprehensive 296-page supplement on traditional Chinese clothing called Chinese Dress/中国衣冠:

The hanfu garment Bijia/比甲 (sleeveless jacket) was mostly worn by women, but men did wear a very similar garment (which can arguably be categorized as Bijia) called Zhaojia/罩甲. Zhaojia is a long, sleeveless, vest-like garment that was common during the Ming dynasty. Below - modern recreation & examples from historical Ming dynasty art (Images via: 1, 2):

Zhaojia can have a vent in the back, which was originally for ease of movement during horse-riding:

I discovered Hanfu thanks to my interest to my culture, I am Han Chinese and I used to try to be Japanese or Korean, but discovering Chinese culture helped me a lot, searched the fashion and boom! Hanfu! This blog helped me a lot to learn, I am graceful the Hanfu blogs are becoming more popular, I plan to buy every type of Hanfu and make my brother wear them too! Thanks Ziseviolet! <3

杂裾垂髾服 but is difficult to find accurate photos of this Hanfu.

I really like Zaju/杂裾 too (hence it being one of the top styles on my favorites list)!
