He would grin in response to Sumiaâs apology and if anything, his grip around the womanâs waist would only tighten as he leaned his forehead against her own. He wasnât complaining about the kiss; he had been the one to kiss her first, and so this was payback in a sense, right? It wasnât as if Sumia tasted all that bad either--she tasted sweet and to Gaius, anything sweet was something to savor.
âHeh, what are you apologizing for, Stumbles?â he asked as his fingers wound themselves within her tresses. His grin would grow mischievous as he leaned in to steal yet another kiss from the Pegasus Knight before pulling away as quickly as he had leaned in. âI enjoyed it, and itâs not like you made a mess of my face this time, so hey, no apologies needed.â
He would open his green eyes to gaze into her brown ones before intertwining his fingers in her own. How had he taken this long to notice how brown her eyes were? They reminded him of the finest chocolate Ylisse had to offer. They were warm, soft, and inviting. Sure, she had her drawbacks, but what person didnât? In a way, Gaius found her clumsiness to be almost... alluring.
âSo? What do you reckon?â he asked as his fingers absently played with her own. âYou think you and me can work? So long as you can handle my thievery, I can handle your clumsiness.â Here, he would give Sumia a cheeky wink before pulling one of his hands away to stick a lollipop into his mouth.
