Ok so UA students usually figure out quickly that Midnight and Echo are a thing, because Midnight is not subtle, and they usually assume it's monogamous. Echo and Aizawa, however, are both not big on pda or pet names or irrelevant personal tangents in the classroom, and Aizawa doesn't exactly give off Happily Partnered Vibes. So it often happens that later in the year, a few first years are surprised when they finally "catch" Aizawa and Echo in what they assume is a recent development, and start gossip about a teacher love triangle.

The less troublesome type of nosy student will come to discreetly inform Midnight about the "cheating" situation, much to her amusement. She'll jokingly text "You've been caught again" and "I'm so disappointed in you darling". (To which Echo will often reply along the lines of "Oh no! Am I in trouble? Are you going to punish me?")

Aizawa would ignore the whole thing, because he doesn't give a damn about his reputation, but he's learned that the bolder type of nosy righteous kids will always opt to confront Echo about the "affair" instead of him, so now when he hears that this is going around again, he has to give his class the "This is ethical polyamory and if you bother Echo with accusations I'll expel you" speech. The warning clarification is usually spread to the rest of their year.
