Spent the night talking to my sister about God’s love and I realized how the amount of knowledge that we store in our minds about Him can be futile if we don’t understand intimacy with Him in the first place.
The simplicity of faith can easily be the most difficult concept to grasp, yet it will be the most powerful once we experience it. When I shared my thoughts about all that I have encountered in knowing Him personally, in that moment, I got blown away by how He is continually and ardently pursuing us each and every day.
As if that was not enough, He revealed more of His heart as we spoke about my dad’s salvation. It was a glimpse of His patient endurance in waiting for His people to come to Him, to turn their eyes from the world and run straight into His embrace. In waiting for my dad, it is as though my life is crying, “break my heart for what breaks Yours.” I truly hope that I’ll be able to witness the day of his salvation coming to pass when I am here on earth. That is my life’s greatest wish.
