Rejection hurt. In Egypt she had attempted to explain herself to her children, but they had turned their backs on her, telling her to stay away. But she was their mother, and she knew what was best for them. She had many options for getting close to them without them realising it, but only one way wouldn't lead to them being suspicious.

Mystique knew that Rogue liked to go jogging along a particular route every day, it was simply a matter of wrapping herself in an old empty blanket and waiting for her daughter to turn up. As the sounds of footsteps reached her sensitive ears, she poked her nose out of the blanket and whined, a bedraggled, abandoned puppy in need of help. Mystique knew that Rogue hated cats, hopefully she'd like a dog better.

        "There is something fundamentally wrong with that brother of mine," the witch declared, stomping up the mansion staircase and rolling her eyes. "And don't get me started on Toad. In fact, that entire house needs to be razed if you ask me." 

Also in a state to avoid posting to many of these, did I miss anyone on replies? Or better yet, know where I can get more Kevin Zeger icons/gifs?
