~ murder most unladylike (series) ~
love these books. They're for a bit younger age group than I usually read, but they're brilliant. English, golden-age school-girl detective stories? Daisy is sassy and smart, and Hazel puts together the small things, and is selfless enough to let Daisy take the glory for almost everything. Honestly I ship them, but not as much as I ship hazel and alexander.
They're not gory, which is actually pretty great in my opinion.
They're also pretty feminist, and Daisy sure as hell knows how to stand up for herself and others, which is amazing since its set like literally 100 years ago, maybe a bit less.
Robin Stevens has crafted something amazing, and I'm crossing my fingers she writes something like this for an older age group.
Its also pretty great that hazel's a girl of colour, being from Hong Kong, and she never really got bullied for it at school, and that a lot of people also just accepted her. Of course to be realistic to the time not everyone did, but they usually did once Daisy gave them a death stare and made them feel ashamed for it.
