I just started 'London Heraldry Unveiled, ' an occasional series covering the beauty, history, and symbolism of Heraldry in London.
I drew this wild boar, a popular heraldic beast in British heraldry. Experimenting with a coloured engraving style.
My side mission for next term is to draw heraldic beasts with slightly bigger balls each project, until they get so enormous the tutor flips out and says I need a therapist.
On the second term of the Heraldic Art course and I decided to have a go at The Royal Arms. This is a bit of a heraldic tour-de-force, very complex and about 100 hours of drawing. The colours are the traditional ones. I am at a very early stage and I want to learn all the rules before breaking any of them.
