Day 25: A song by an artist who is no longer living
Some people think I'm acting worse for wear
Suffice to say, this is a quaint affair
But no one really knows me like Harvey
And once you've met him, I'm sure you'll agree
a sad one for today because today is an artist or band who passed away. i chose Her's. this one was heartbreaking because i remembed i was having a conversation with my friend and he said that he had this song on his mind for a while! and so i decided to listen to it and remembered loving it. however, the day i first listened to Her's was also the same day i searched up that both band members sadlyy passed away in an accident. it makes me sad because they had a big energy with their music and performance and people will never get to see that again 😢 i will forever cherish their music soo wanna give a big shoutout to @liononcrack for showing this awesome band :)

Today is the anniversary of the passing of Her's. To my knowledge, this is the last known photo of Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading, taken at The Rebel Lounge on March 27, 2019. When they left the venue to head to their next show, they were hit by a drunk driver going the wrong direction. Both them and their tour manager were killed in the collision.
They were young and bright and the best of friends, and their music had touched so many in such a short time. I had a ticket for that show at Rebel Lounge, and for a reason I don't remember now, I wasn't able to go. I heard the news the same night and my heart sank. Not because I missed a concert, but because I didn't get to show them how much their music meant to me, and now I never would.
So if you did know them, or if you're just learning about them now, listen to their music and think about what once was. We're all getting older, but these two will be forever young. For better or worse. 💜💔
