Today's Flickr photo with the most hits is an unusual one.
It shows Bismarck during a Reichstag Session, in February 1888, painted by Henseler.
Adjacent to him, a figure is painted out. I think it's that of (soon to be) Kaiser Wilhelm II, who - having been an ardent admirer and supporter of Bismarck - was soon to dismiss him as Chancellor.
My guess is that he couldn't stomach being reminded of this earlier relationship.
