With the water boiling in her kettle Moana stared at her empty apartment. Already the place felt empty without Eric’s things. She didn’t think she would miss the boy but she did. She spent quite a bit of time with him after all and now this place was slightly out of her price range and she wasn’t about the life of working day to day. If that meant downgrading then that meant downgrading but at the same time she was lucky enough to have her Nana that she wasn’t worried about downgrading. Instead, it was just another step until she could move out on her own. 

Shaking her head at the thought Moana went back to work slowly putting a couple mugs into the kitchen boxes. Eventually, all she could do was put some music on so she didn’t keep getting lost in her own thoughts. She just couldn’t help but feeling like she was taking a few steps back. It didn’t matter though not as she left the box open in case Henry wanted tea or coffee when he came over moving to start pulling some of the plates out of the cabinets as well.

So Ollie didn’t really know what he wanted to do, he had thoughts and ideas but he had settled for going into a general program for PrideU the thing was his guidance counselor wasn’t fully happy with this decision. (Though to Ollie he should have been happy considering it was a big step for Ollie to continue with school and not just stop or take a gap year. But that meant he had set up a couple potential mentorships for Ollie. One being with someone named Henry from some big shot lawyer firm. Seemed too pretentious for him but whatever.

Pulling tighter on his leather jacket Ollie looked up at the building before stepping in his nose scrunching up when people gave him certain looks. Rolling his eyes though he moved forward. “I’m here to see uh Henry Charming? Name’s Oliver Twistes.” Cause fuck it he still wasn’t using his ‘real’ last name.

9. why were you drawn to each one of your characters?

MY FAVE QUESTION EVER SIT DOWN AND BUCKLE UP KIDDOS /cracks knuckles.

Tink: Tink was my very first darling here at BDRP. It took me literal years to figure out who I was going to app for and then Tink came out of absolutely nowhere. She appeared in a vision and looked like Lights Bokan and was this punk rebel. Completely different than her Disney counterpart who looked like an angel but was really a lil devil. She just had this story that needed to be told and I could see parts of it unfolding before my eyes.

Duchess: EVERYONE HERE KNOWS JUST HOW LONG I HAD WANTED DUCHESS. I hadn’t even gotten my second and third characters when Duchess appeared in my mind. Of course at the time she was very different but she evolved and her story just stood out to me. I’m a sucker for the rise from the ashes trope and that’s exactly what Duchess is doing. She is a strong female and she’s the total opposite of Tink and that was something that really spoke out to me.

Soleil: My lil dove. Soleil was a combination of a lot of things. Originally she was going to be in a ship with our beloved Laurelyn’s Arista, we had this whole thing planned out it was beautiful. But then Laurelyn left and Soleil took on this personality all her own. She was Poison Ivy but she was good. She’s this sweet, innocent character that is truly just trying to find her way in a world she doesn’t understand. She’s having to come to terms with her need for revenge and also her need to stick very close to the virtues instilled in her by her parents.

Adam: Yeah Adam is super simple. I just really love Beauty and the Beast and BELLE WAS TAKEN so I had to go with the next best thing. Plus he’s a fuckin’ werewolf how more badass can you get?

Ozzy: This guy. This fucking guy right here. He just popped into my head one day born from my desire to play someone who was truly terrifying. ANd what is more terrifying in a Magick friendly town than a Mundus who wants to eradicate Magicks from the world?

SPECIAL MENTIONS:

Lock: My baby boy Lock. He just popped out at me because I am a sucker for troubled teens. Plus in a way I could relate to him from the sorta neglected childhood thing.

Patty: LIL PAT-PAT /sobs. Patty popped out at me the moment their skele was posted. They are just pure and sweet and so scared of the world. I wanted to play that and build them up and explore every little thing about them. They’re gonna make a comeback just you wait.

Taka: FUCK HIM UP. Taka was actually a godsend? I wanted a villain and I wanted someone who was not worthy of redemption. And there was Taka like divine intervention just waiting to be picked up and explored. He was just so complex and motivated by revenge and greed.

go there and there is a twenty minute thing where i talk about most of them. i dont talk about a few of my recent ppl so: 

Andrina: First I really wanted to have a mermaid to write underwater scenes bc like-- thats an entirely different environment and i thought it would open up my writing to new vocabulary and idk constructions. But then she REALLY clicked when i decided i wanted to do the like “slacker genius” trope. Ive had lots of run-ins, as I am sure we all have, with people who are so so smart but struggle in school because of learning disabilities or extenuating circumstances. My stepbro and my brother are two of these types of people (in different ways) so I really wanted to explore that since its diff from my own experience. 

Merida: Merida I really wanted to explore internalized misogyny and mer trying desperately to break into a boy’s club bc to me that was the coolest way to unpack the Order’s sexist bullshit tbh? Like even though she’s buying into it right now, my hope is she won’t always-- she’ll realize this shit is fucked. And so that gave me a channel to build the Order, which I love, and to flip the script of it so I wasn’t writing about it from a male perspective at all 

9. why were you drawn to each one of your characters?

Jane: so jane’s like, my fav disney girl. she is me. I’ve been rping jane for liek....SEVEN YEARS. or rather ‘a jane’. I like the fact that the nerdy, awkward girl has this thirst for adventure and follows her dad to africa and is just so passionate about learning all that she can. I loev that. I tried to do a diff version of that here--like jane come back from africa. like what would’ve happened if she left tarzan and came back and just had to live through edwardian england? she’d be deperessed, man

Howl: simply put, I wanted a sorcerer. I couldn’t find one I liked though, till I was like hey can we use GHIBLI films. I am a fan of the movie and the book and they are very different and Howl was an attempt to reconcile both those versions of Howl. And explore magic. I love sorcerery, i love witches, ugh.

Eva: my other fav magical beings are vampires. but canonically there’s like,,,no,,,disney vampires. so mk and i improvised.

Roger: rog is another old character. i wanted a #hip musician essentially, in his first run. and hip musician grew to loveable goofy roger and i wanted to bring him to swynlake

Callie: the muse bios were DOPE AS HELL and i wanted in. also i was watching a lot of steven universe at the time ad a  lot of Callie comes from steven fun fact

Daisy: i wanted a poor little rich girl. i also had a daisy before but she was MUCH different. I also wanted to explore a mental illness. plus,, its fun to be rich. 

Jake: i wanted someone with a similar racial identity background as me to explore Chinese culture and how one reconciles that with Whiteness (Tm)

Ly: man, i just wanted iLLUSION MAgIC. I LOVE ILLUSION MAGIC. she’s v heavily inspired by the night circus, aka like my fAVOurIte book and i wanted a chance to explore that and also a girl who has lost everything and someone who just romanticizes the shit out of literally everything aha

Al: al was a joke. essentially, i wanted to create the combination of every single character trait I hate in people and somehow redeem him. have i done so? thats a question for the audience at home

Alana: i wanted a family, i wanted a bitch, I wanted a swynlake native. i really Lana’s slyth secondary. i think she’s my best example of a slyth secondary--she’ll twist and turn and you’ll never know if she actually hates you
