People who are against Henwill genuinely don't make sense to me
Like one, shipping characters with their villians isn't a new thing, and I'm p sure Will is 18 in s5
And two, if the duffers DIDNT want us shipping them, then why did they make Henry appreciate Will in the way that he wants to be appreciated? Every detail I see in the latest trailer just shows how much Henry cares about will, even if it's subtle. Maybe I'm delusional but they make soooo much sense together
I think he's 16/17 for the timeline of season 5, but still! It just doesn't matter, it's fictional and you're right - hero/villain shipping is painfully normal and exactly why I knew more people would get interested once season 5 promo began, tale as old as time 😂 and even better when it's a character as magnetic as Will...
Your point about Henry having this appreciative energy towards Will (as well as the "not [killing] me, everyone else." that's been canon for years now) is a great one because it'll be exciting to learn the full extent of his intentions! I came across this great little breakdown of the potential dynamic the other day, pretty much the kind of dynamic I'm enjoying myself. Will being something precious to Henry is really exciting.
henwillers have always noticed similarities in other fictional pairings like phantom of the opera, beauty and the beast, hades and persephone. All quite gothic and so awesome to see that acknowledged by more in the fandom lately. There was this FANTASTIC post recently about gothic maiden Will x death manifestation Henry.
